  We had the Golden VIP ticket which I highly recommend, the value of the ticket is definitely worth it for the beautiful 3 course meal and drinks with a breathtaking view. The service was so smooth, the staff was fully on top of everything and very attentive. Our waiter was Singh and he really looked after us well, he’s an asset to the team there. The concert was absolutely brilliant, even if you are not a fan of classical music I would recommend it. The musicians were very talented, absolutely amazing. We had a fantastic night and are so glad we managed to book it. Thank you to all the staff and the musicians for a truly unforgettable night.

  The concert was superb. By all means a must do. Dinner was ok, nothing to write home about, however you get better seats with VIP. I guess it is worth the money.

  The concert is good but the dinner is what not i have expected. It was supposed to be a 5 course menu and they skipped 1 course without explanation. Also they forgot to serve my partner the food: They have served me my food and said another is coming but then nothing is served. I have waited for like 20 minutes until i finally one waiter to get my partner his food. The whole dining experience is intentionally delayed to a point that you can have your dinner for a whole 2 hour before you are off to the concert. I dont think this is necessary. The music in the concert is good though. I hope viator can provide a ticket for the concert only so that we can pick our own restaurant for the dinner.

  Mediocre dinner at best. You shouldn't expect high quality food. The restaurant was nice, and everything went smoothly. The concert was a nice experience in the castle.

  What a nice way to end Christmas Day. Beautiful nighttime views of the City, an enjoyable meal, and a great musical performance. A quick walk from the heart of the old town and you zip up the funicular to the fortress. You’re greeted with a view of the Dom and Christmas market from above. The dinner itself was an 8/10. The food was simple and didn’t seem particularly Austrian (beef/dumpling soup, turkey/stuffing roll with porcini mashed potatoes, and chocolate mousse - vegetarian option of porcini raviolis) but was well flavored and enjoyed by all. The only downside was with early sunset there were no views from the restaurant. After dinner a short walk to the performance space and 90 min of great classical music from a lively 5 piece string group. Even my teenager said the music was better than expected. Overall, a solid experience I would recommend if visiting Salzburg.

  The whole experience was very enjoyable. My only concern was we went during Christmas market season and the crowds were incredible. We were trying to get thru to the funicular, it was an ordeal to push your way thru the crowd. The dinner was very nice. It took over any hour to have roll, soup, turkey and dessert. We then changed areas to the concert hall . It was quite an impressive room (castle like). Of course, the string sextet played Eine Kleine Nachtmusik. Overall, I would recommend this experience.

  In my opinion, this was the absolute highlight of our stay in Salzburg. Dinner and a concert at the top of an ancient fortress; what an amazing way to spend an evening! The dinner was sophisticated and very tasty. Portion sizes were not too small, not too big, just right. Service was excellent. Ambiance and location were top notch. The concert after dinner was enthralling and intimate. Musical performances were polished. Highly recommended.

  We were expecting a fairly cheap touristic experience but it was way worse. I can think of a 1000 ways to better spend your money. Dinner was awful, food was dry and tasteless.

  Dinner was fabulous as was the concert. Unfortunately there were several loud, rude people behind us and none of the ushers stepped in to ask them to be quiet or to wait outside. Even the musicians at one point looked over because the people were talking so loudly during the performance. Overall I would recommend and it was great value for the money.

  The meal was delicious; the concert was spectacular. These two facts superceded the fact that both the restaurant and concert hall were dreadfully hot. Also, the online description of this tour made it seem as though the dinner and concert were at the same location. The signage outside of the restaurant could have been more specific in stating “Mozart Concert Dinner”. It simply said “Dinner”…which outside of a restaurant makes sense, but that didn’t suggest it was dinner for those attending the concert. So we walked to the concert location, only to have to walk back to the restaurant. I would suggest you indicate the events, though at the fortress are in two different locations; have the signage outside of the restaurant make mention of the “Motzart Concert”, and perhaps provide fans, especially in the concert hall.
