2.00We received our “ticket” a couple of days before the tour. I didn’t think too much of it when I hit the “more details” button I got an error message because surely we would get details when we picked up our bikes. No such luck. We were on time for bike pick up and I asked the gentleman about the tour. He basically said, I just give you the bikes. Luckily he knew where we were to pick up our lunch so we were able to handle that part. It seems that there is no coordination at all among the different aspects of the trip. But the bike guy helped as much as could. We pick up our lunch. Bland but sufficient and no problem getting it. We had to ask at the cafe where the bike path was. She didn’t know but found someone who did. And we’re off. The bike path was great. Beautiful, well marked, and safe from cars and trucks. We loved it. We arrive in Traben and look for the boat to get us back to Bernkastel. Remember the no details part? Yeah. No idea which boat to take. All we had was our ticket and all the boats wanted vouchers. I kept hitting the “more details” button. Error!!! So we actually had to pay for us AND our bikes to get back down the river. We could have biked back but it was raining and the day was already a mess. And that bottle of wine? Who knows? It was in the “details”. I should have known better. I could have arranged this myself better and cheaper. I won’t take the “easy” way out again.

5.00Everything checked out. Bicycles were ready with map. Picnic basket we had to pick up. Everything was prepared fresh. Prima.
