  Michael provided us an amazing tour. Michael is knowledgeable and friendly. As a local he took us to some off the beaten path locations that were amazing. Michael gave us some cool souvenirs including a beautiful lei and calendar with Hawai’i locations. Michael provided a delicious lunch at a local Hawaiian cafe. He provided drinks, snacks and delicious Hawaiian grown fruit. By the end of our tour, Michael is family! Thank you to Michael for the most Amazing day and sharing all the beautiful and amazing sites in and around Hilo. If you ever come to Florida, call us ❤️😊

  We all had an absolute fantastic day out with the very best tour guide.. very knowledgeable about everything, and everything we asked. He knew the very best places to go all over the Big Island.   Had the best time with a great tour guide couldn’t recommend highly enough we had an amazing day with Mike very knowledgeable and fun showed all the sights took us to Hawaiian style cafe for lunch which was lovely Will definitely be looking him up if we return

  What a breath of fresh aloha this was! During our cruise stop in Hilo we booked a day tour with Lehua Tours, easily the best decision of our entire vacation. From the moment we were greeted at the pier, I knew we were in good hands. Our guide Mike was warm, professional and incredibly knowledgeable about the island, not just tourist facts, but the history, the culture, the land and the people like him who are native and call it home. The stories, context, and traditions he shared added a level of authenticity you simply cannot get on large commercial tours. The pace was perfect with just the right balance of sightseeing and quiet moments to really take it all in. My family and I had so much fun. For lunch we stopped at a local spot and the food was genuinely memorable, fresh, flavorful, and a perfect reflection of the island. We got to experience places we never would have found on our own. Lush waterfalls, lava fields, scenic overlooks, black sand beaches and little local gems that made our day feel authentic rather than commercial. What stood out the most was how personal the experience was. They treated us like family, not like guests. The van was spotless, comfortable and air-conditioned, and the whole experience was seamless from start to finish. If you are coming to Hilo and want a memorable, culturally rooted, small group experience with a local expert that's worth every penny, book with Lehua Tours.
