A 2-hour whale watching tour on a speedy RIB boat from the town of Húsavík, The Whale Capital of Iceland.!
The RIB boats seat a maximum of 12 passengers per boat, each with an expert whale watching guide and captain on board. Each passenger gets a warm overall, a life jacket and raincoat (if needed).
The focus is on small group tours, eliminating competition for the best view on board.

What To Expect
Get your warm clothes and get ready for a real adventure! The tour begins with a sail to the beautiful Skjálfandi Bay. There are many whale species that are known to be accommodated in the area. For example, the Humpback whale, the Minke whale, White-beaked dolphins, porpoises… More than 10 different species visit Skjálfandi every year! The speedy RIB boats make it more likely to have a close encounter with the giants, being able to drive huge amounts of miles in the trip. Also, with only 12 passengers or fewer on board, the competition for the best view on board is certainly eliminated. Among the places, we will visit Lundey (Puffin Island)*, known for its great amount of the popular bird. Passengers will also see the Tjörnes peninsula, known for its fossil layers with the most ancient one being two million years old! An expert whale-watching guide, a captain on board, a warm water-resistant overall suit, and a life vest are included in this trip. Bring your hat and gloves with you – the bay can be pretty cold! So, when are you joining us? *Puffin season is ca. 15th of April-20th August. Outside that time of the year, our tours are Big Whales exclusive!

5.00The crew/ team were amazing. So friendly and knowledgable. It was bitterly cold but they were really upbeat and saved our trip by making my very cold 9 year old laugh. It could have gone very differently 🤣. The clobber they provided was perfect. It protected us really well. The only thing that let us down was the rubbish gloves we brought. We should have had ski gloves! Thank you, we had the best time.

5.00This was a great experience and worth the extra expense . The boat is limited to 12 people so you aren't fighting for a spot to get a look at the whales. Our guides , Austin and Sophie were very knowledgeable and welcoming. A+!

4.00How do you review a whale-watching tour without whales? It’s really difficult, because no one can be blamed for the fact that there were no whales to be seen on the specific day we went on the trip. However, we experienced a very professional setup with a friendly guide, good equipment for us as guests, and a nice boat with excellent opportunities to spot whales—if they had been there. Booking the tickets was also easy, and since we unfortunately didn’t see any whales, we received a free return ticket that never expires.

5.00Great sighting of whales, the staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. The equipment was good to cut the wind and cold air, the boat was stable despite the big waves, but most likely due to the good steering of the captain. Great close up view of the humpback whales, we moved spots a few times to find different ones. Recommended
