A 2-hour whale watching tour on a speedy RIB boat from the town of Húsavík, The Whale Capital of Iceland.!
The RIB boats seat a maximum of 12 passengers per boat, each with an expert whale watching guide and captain on board. Each passenger gets a warm overall, a life jacket and raincoat (if needed).
The focus is on small group tours, eliminating competition for the best view on board.

What To Expect
Get your warm clothes and get ready for a real adventure! The tour begins with a sail to the beautiful Skjálfandi Bay. There are many whale species that are known to be accommodated in the area. For example, the Humpback whale, the Minke whale, White-beaked dolphins, porpoises… More than 10 different species visit Skjálfandi every year! The speedy RIB boats make it more likely to have a close encounter with the giants, being able to drive huge amounts of miles in the trip. Also, with only 12 passengers or fewer on board, the competition for the best view on board is certainly eliminated. Among the places, we will visit Lundey (Puffin Island)*, known for its great amount of the popular bird. Passengers will also see the Tjörnes peninsula, known for its fossil layers with the most ancient one being two million years old! An expert whale-watching guide, a captain on board, a warm water-resistant overall suit, and a life vest are included in this trip. Bring your hat and gloves with you – the bay can be pretty cold! So, when are you joining us? *Puffin season is ca. 15th of April-20th August. Outside that time of the year, our tours are Big Whales exclusive!

5.00Our guide was amazing! He was so knowledgeable and so excited to us getting to see whales. I told myself not to get my hopes up with have a sighting on our tour but we ended up seeing 2 whales coming in and out of that water for about 45 minutes. It was awesome. Would definitely recommend!

5.00This was an incredible life changing experience. The boat ride itself was fun, but add in the close whale sightings, and it was epic. The larger ships were around with decks full of observers, while we were able to zip around as another whale would surface. We were so close with one, my husband took a selfie. The guide was very informative about whales and knew how to find the best sighting spots. I would highly recommend!

5.00You will get wet and bring your gloves. This was a great adventure to see puffins and humpback whales. The boat ride was great also. The staff was friendly and informative. We highly recommend.

5.00The process was good and the staff were very friendly, but I think the speedboat could actually get closer to the whales, because the whales would come up to the water four times a day, and it would take some time to get there, but if the speedboat could go there immediately, it would be possible to catch the whales from a closer distance.
