It was a unique experience: very fun and very learning. Birds in the city present a way to reconnect with our roots, because thanks to them we know the balance in the ecosystem.

They are a group very committed to what they do and more for the fact of bringing birdwatching activity within the city that many people would believe is not possible, many congratulations and wishing them many more successes in the future

We were with bacata bird in the Tibanica wetland , it was a rewarding experience as we were able to warn several species of birds both migratory and resident as well as see how this wetland brings a beautiful community process to students and inhabitants of this territory .

We left early and the wetland Jaboque welcomed us with soft mist and the song of several birds. As we walked along the trails, we were able to observe herons, tingas, flycatchers and other species that appeared among the reeds and near the water. The calm atmosphere, the movement of the wetland and the colors of the birds made the day a simple but very special experience, reminding us of the importance of taking care of these spaces full of life.

I went with my friends from BAKATA PAJARERA, who were in charge of accompanying me and teaching me the wonderful activity of watching birds in this beautiful place, not only enjoy the landscape, but I learned to recognize different birds, their characteristics and their habits, which made this outing an unforgettable experience. I relaxed, breathed, smiled, shared and recharged all my energies. Thank you to the entire BAKATA PAJARERA team for their good attention, for sharing their knowledge and for all their human and professional warmth!!!

I recently had the opportunity to participate in an activity with Bakatapajarea and the experience exceeded my expectations. Beyond bird watching, what I really valued was the educational approach to the day. Not only did we learn to identify incredible species that coexist with us in the city, but we delved into the importance of their habitats and how the different ecosystems of Bogotá are vital to them and the other beings that make up it. The guides demonstrated deep knowledge and infectious passion. I left with a new perspective on the wetlands and hills of our city, understanding that every tree and every body of water is a home that we must protect. Super recommended for those who want to reconnect with nature without leaving Bogota! 🐦🌿 What a great experience with Bakatapajarea! 🦅✨ If you like nature and want to learn for real, you have to go out and bird with them. ¡10/10!

In July 2025 I had the opportunity to take a hiking and bike watching outing in Florida Park with Bakata Pajarera. I met them in Puente de Guadua, as I had no bicycle, and with a person from Bakata we walked to the point of entry to the trail set up for sighting, while the other participants made the tour to the entrance by bicycle, while watching, made stops of environmental interpretation and tour in the wetland. It is essential to clarify that we were able to make the admission because of the management and logistics that they advanced, so I advise that you always manage to enter with someone who confirms the admission to have security on the trail. When we arrived at the sighting trail we had security and the administration knew who we were going to have filled out a form in advance. That day even the park manager accompanied us and provided information about everything that can be done in Florida Park. The information before the sighting was very clear regarding what to wear, what to wear to eat and what equipment if they did not have them rent. I would tell the stakeholders that all along there was environmental interpretation and that inside the group there were experts providing information and data. We were very careful to respect and not disturb the animals and flora in any way. The most memorable thing for me was seeing the Tingua Bogota for the first time. Learn what a lifer is and other concepts of sustainability and conservation. I close my comment by sharing my eBird user: siriri so they can search the watchlist of that day that was left in a total of 29 species.

I've been there several times, and each one has been wonderful. It is a very friendly, interested and knowledgeable group. I don't know much about birds, and that wasn't a negative thing, on the contrary, every doubt I had was answered with patience and generosity. I have learned a lot from them, especially understanding the importance of preserving these ecosystems. In addition, it is an unparalleled opportunity to see a Bogota that few know, home to multiple animal and plant species, living with the madness of the big city. The number of bird species sighted is truly moving. Highly recommended
