El Rey is located 28 km away from Manuel Antonio national park area, this place it has a combination of several habitats Tropical Transitional forest and marshes, which makes the perfect place to spot kingfishers, seedeater, flycatchers, hummingbirds, woodpeckers and many others.
Our Team would help to locate, identify and share with your different facts about birds like behaviors, diets, mating rituals and much more.
You don’t have to worry about keeping a list of the species seen. We want you to spend your time identifying, taking photographs and having a perfect sighting of all different birds in the area, at the end of the activity, your tour guide will send you a full detail list of species seen during the tour which makes identifying and put a name to those photographs and sightings a whole lot easier!
During the trip would be snacks and water will be provided during the birding experience

Remember animals are not held in captivity and the national park is not a Zoo, We promise to do our best to find as many animals as we can, but we can't warranty that you will see certain animals are certain times.
Please be responsible visitor, if by any chance you are having any delays on Breakfast, mechanical or any other issues please let us know is not nice for others waiting for you to show up, after 10 minutes of a wait at the agreed pickup place, it would be considered as NO SHOW and refunds are not applicable.

Exceptional Birding Experience with an Incredible Guide

5.00This private birding tour at El Rey was peaceful, informative, and truly memorable. Our guide was absolutely perfect—his passion for birds and deep knowledge were unmatched. He spotted so many species we never would have seen on our own, knew their names and origins, and could even mimic many of their calls. We took a slow stroll along paths bordering the natural habitats, observing and listening to these beautiful creatures in their surroundings. It was very special to see birds from our home region that had migrated here for the winter. The guide truly made this an outstanding tour.

5.00Wonderful place to see and photograph birds! Jason was an excellent guide! I also did the private Quetzales tour with Wáköö tours and absolutly loved both! I highly recommand Wáköö tours.

5.00We had a great trip with Jason. 144 species in one day was a great day with quite a few life birds. Jason knew where and when to go, even in the afternoon which is typically not as "birdy". Great lunch at a truly local place too.
