We did the CENTRAL THAILAND RICE AND SPICE TRAIL 9 days 8 nights (including accommodation) tour! And it was incredible! It was a perfect balance of food tasting/ markets/ history with temples and other site seeing! We got into the culture... and also out of Bangkok a bit to enjoy the beautiful countryside

My husband and I did a three hour Yaowarat Street Food Tour with Lily and it was fantastic. She took us to several different places where we were always able to get a table right away and try delicious foods. We definitely wouldn't have known to have gone to the places she took us so we're really glad we went. Highly recommend this tour and Lily in particular!!

With only one weekend day in Bangkok, I had to choose which activity to do. I decided that having someone guide me through the Chatuchak market would be better than me trying to navigate it myself. The Chatuchak & Aor Tor Kor market tour by Bangkok Food Tour is a relatively new tour by the company. We were definitely among the first to sign up for this tour. We met up with our guide, Lily, at 10 am on a Sunday. Since it was our first day in Thailand, it definitely felt hot. However, Lily was ready with 2 ice cold bottles of water for us. The tour included food and drinks. We made a total of 7 stops at some of the best places in the market. There were also a lot of snacks and ice-cream along the way. It was definitely too much food but I just couldn't stop eating because it was delicious! Our guide, Lily, spoke excellent English. She was able to explain each of the items we saw and gave a good overview of the market. She felt like an old pro who knew exactly which alley, section, and stall to walk to. She was definitely a local who pointed out various items of interest. She definitely participated in the market experience! The last part of the tour took us across the street to Aor Tor Kor. This is a clean and modern wet market. It looked nothing at all like the rest of the markets we saw in Bangkok. We had dessert at this market but did not spend a lot of time there. The nice part about the tour is that it started early. This allowed us access to the market before it was fully awake and crowded. We did not have to wait at the "Wait for Chicken Noodle" shop. We could also take our time wandering the full market without feeling rushed. I enjoyed the pacing of the tour and Lily was a great host and guide. This tour will give you a taste of it and you can continue to explore after the tour. If you would like a more organized way to explore Chatuchak, sign up for this tour!
