The walking distance from 3 to 6 km, depending on which waterfalls you visit, will take you 2 to 5 hours. Walking distance from the secure parking is 12 or 25 minutes only. Important: our visits are always with a tour guide, always. Your safety is our priority.

What To Expect
Bajos del Toro
The tour includes the Tepezquintle waterfall, Las Gemelas, La Celestial, La Turquesa and La Pintada. Several blue pools for swimming and a viewpoint with incredible 360 degree views of the valley and picnic tables. Route without mud and marked. Birds, forest, nature, beauty and peace. There is no other project like it. The expedition hike it will take about 3 hours tour.

5.00This tour was amazing and a must if you’re in Costa Rica. The guide was knowledgeable and gave us an experience we will never forget. We were able to see a couple of waterfalls and were even able to swim in some! I would recommend this 10/10!

5.00I had a great time on this tour. The falls are beautiful and Juan is an awesome tour guide. Very knowledgeable, attentive and kind. Made me feel safe. I highly recommend booking this tour but you do need to be in good shape and wear sturdy shoes. You will be walking up and down steep steps and across unpaved rocky trails although there are sections where there are no rocks and the ground flat. There's also some short hills. There are several benches to rest on along the way if you get tired.

5.00Wow! These falls are absolutely breathtaking. The colour of the water is crazy blue! A moderate level of fitness as there are some steep stairs to get there. It’s more than worth it! Thanks Juan for taking me here as there are few that do. I not only learnt about the falls but all of the surrounding areas due to Juan’s excellent knowledge. I highly recommend this tour and these falls. If you like the blue falls also visit El Santario (la catedral waterfall). These are my two favourites by far. Thanks Juan! 🙏

5.00Juan is an incredibly kind, patient, and knowledgeable guide. He willingly answered all of my questions, pointed out several toucans, and taught me a ton about the day-to-day living of Costa Ricans. Thanks to Juan's encouragement, I was able to see Catarata del Toro and all of the blue falls. It was a lot of hiking, but so worth it. I highly recommend contacting Juan if you’re interested in a seeing and learning about one (or more) of one of the country's beautiful sites!

5.00A thoroughly enjoyable tour to Rio Celeste. Tons of animals spotted and a really knowledgable guide. There wasn’t a question he didn’t know the answer to. We even stopped on the way back to La Fortuna to take a look at some monkeys spotted in the trees. Would recommend reaching out for any of your La Fortuna guide needs as this is a guide that really wants to do Costa Rica justice. Thank you!

5.00Juan was an amazing guide and let us personalize the tour to our group! We were interested in seeing more of the blue falls so we spent our time doing all of the falls there instead of some and catarata del toro. We had an amazing time seeing these beautiful falls, our favorites were Las Gemelas the twin falls, where we had a blast swimming in them with Juan. He really is an expert on the wildlife and pointed out anything he saw to us. On the way back we even got to stop at a local soda and eat. Amazing tour!!
