Great trip with very mild weather. Occasionally got a bit rough however Captain relocated to make it more comfortable for guests. Food was good and plentiful, but note that it was more traditional Fijian type food. Staff were fantastic. To answer some questions I had prior to going. Suitcases storage under your bed, plenty of room. Casual all the way. Thongs a must, no need for dressy shoes. Neat and tidy dress for dinner, shorts and top fine. Snorkeling was the go however if that wasn’t you then a bit of swimming in the warm clear waters was good. Great excursions however we felt there was a lot of down time with nothing to do but sit around. Be up for a chat as that was the main thing talking with other passengers. Shout out to tender crew who made it so easy to navigate on and off the boat. The staff helped way beyond and nothing was too much trouble.

  • A an absolutely must do cruise of the Yasawa Islands ... amazing!

An amazing cruise experience that was beyond our expectations! Seven days of wonderful islands, pristine water and coral and so many opportunities to snorkel including snorkeling with reef sharks. The food was delicious and the crew were incredible ... so friendly and dynamic, they made the cruise something special with their smiles, jokes and incredible service ... not to mention their wonderful singing!

  • Hit and miss…

Full disclosure - I’m quite familiar with the Yasawa Islands, Fijian customs and village life having worked in and visited this area of Fiji many times. That said, my wife and I decided on the 7 day cruise before our children and grandchildren came to join us. Staff - fantastic. Friendly and wanted to do their best for you. I’ve only the highest praise for them. The ship - a little dated but all the furniture in the public areas was well maintained. The cabins are very tight in size and their bathrooms are smaller than on an airplane. They do, however warn you about this in their material. Nice gift when you arrive in each cabin. Apparently they are getting a new ship in July 2026. Food - other passengers seemed to love it but we found it bland, repetitive and boring. We couldn’t wait to get off and go and have a decent meal. Coffee machines worked okay and the coffee was palatable (just). Breakfasts were the best meal of the day. Wifi - the ship’s wifi was good and didn’t show any signs of dropping out. For those who have global roaming, a signal was always available, even if it was 3G. Activities - a bit hit and miss, though many were weather dependent. Some were advertised but never happened or somehow the time was changed. They chose good snorkelling sites but I was very critical of their safety procedures when snorkelling from the tender boats. It’s only good luck nothing untoward happened and I’ve written to the company with suggestions on how this can be improved. I didn’t do the village visit but the school visit was great. Easily the best day was at their private beach in Nanuya. All in all, we didn’t love our 7 day cruise and were happy when it was over.

One of the most fun cruises I have ever taken. Good destinations, great activities and fabulous crew. The ship is showing its age but still very comfortable. Would love to do this again in the future.

Our room, No. 15, was small but adequate. The bathroom had an offensive odour of urine. Room service was minimal. No room service on two of the seven days. Wet towels on bathroom floor were not removed nor replaced. Rubbish not emptied for the entire cruise. Small roaches were found in the bathroom and under the bed. Water would seep from the bathroom onto the bedroom carpet. The toilet backed up three times, overflowing twice in one day. We were moved to another cabin. The buffets were never hot enough, food substandard for the price paid for the cruise. Replacement of empty containers of food was slow or not replaced. When a staff member was asked to bring out more pineapple, she never returned. Lunch was usually repeated versions of curry. Dinner was a plain buffet except for the Captains dinner, it was well presented and served a la carte. Small roaches were found crawling around the coffee machine. Sugar was not available to make cocktails and scarce for coffee. The ship's kayaks were not well maintained, unable to clip our seats on due to corrosion from salt water. Staff on the beach were asked twice to replace kayak- Neve Happened, they never came back. I Five guests joined two crew members for a fishing trip from 4:00-5:00 pm. Departure was delayed until 4:40. Only four hooks were on board for five guests. We did not board the ship as scheduled for 5:00 but 6:30 in the dark. Missed Happy Hour and late for dinner. Two scheduled events were cancelled, feeding the sharks and Fijian seafood served on the island. On a positive note: Fiji is beautiful Stunning beaches and views Staff were upbeat and friendly with beautiful voices Village tours were informative and enjoyable

Everything about our cruise was excellent and the customer service was outstanding. Miri at the front desk was exceptional in her efficiency and professionalism. Mama Lela gave us all a wonderful daily activity, as well as with the children on board. She was loved by us all! Va and Sava were always very attentive to the needs of their guests on board, and nothing was too much trouble. Kitty and the other tender crew members were so very caring and ensured the safety of each person who climbed upon the tenders daily. Captain Mervin and his 2IC (Fernandez?) were always around and available at any time. They were often seen on the tenders as part of the crew when the ship was in anchor. That was very impressive! Paul was new on board as the engineer, and he and his team were very efficient in fixing some of the issues with the toilet systems and showers that we encountered from time to time. Because of the amazing attitude of all staff on board, the food, drinks, entertainment and daily activities, we enjoyed the holiday of a lifetime, and will always remember our cruise around the islands for 7 nights. Our first day spent at the Resort prior to boarding the NV Fiji Princess was so much fun and the staff were excellent there as well. thank you Blue Lagoon Cruises.... we will never forget you!
