We will depart from the marina in our boat through the Loreto Bay National Marine Park until we find the whales. The Blue Whale is the largest animal in the world so we will enjoy observing them and seeing their behavior. They arrive from the north in search of warmer waters for courtship, mating and the birth of their young. Feeding on tons of krill during their stay. An amazing ride!

Amazing experience- the team were charming, efficient and knowledgeable, and their passive, gentle app enabled us to be in exacted right spot to see blue whales at very close proximity. Gracias - it was an extraordinary opportunity. And fun that some humpbacks came to wave goodbye as we headed for home!

We saw whales, dolphins and birds. It was a great experience. The captain was very friendly and adjusted the tour to our wishes.

Captain Daniel made this a wonderful experience! Initially we experienced a pod of dolphins as we were leaving the marina. Then headed south to find several humpback whales. Once around the bend of Island Carmen, a blue whale was spotted. We followed the blue whale for a mile plus.. watching it swim along the coastline and to feed. Shortly afterwards we discovered a pod of Orcas. I think we spent close to 30-35 minutes with the orcas. Captain Daniel even had them riding along side the boat like a little game. What a wonderful way to end the trip. I highly recommend Blue Whale watching in Loreto for whale watching. We had a great time!

Was a really fun outing. Easy to locate the meeting spot, had a great captain and we saw both humpbacks and blue whales. He was very persistent in making sure we were near where the blue whale kept surfacing and we saw them (it?) several times. Weather was cool and cloudy which I would imagine makes it harder to spot them. But we did and it was really something to see!

Top experience! Several blue whales seen. Still mighty beautiful to see the largest animal in the world in its natural habitat!

The tour was very well organized and planned. The guide,Erjenis (Sp?). enjoyed sighting the whales as much as we did. He was very knowledgeable, and went out of his way to make sure we saw multiple species. This meant that he had to take us quite a ways in order to see them all. Not all tour groups do this. We saw blue whales, fin whales, and humpback whales. I highly recommend this adventure.

The tour operator was super honest. They contacted us a few days ahead to cancel the trip due to very few sightings of blue whales. They did not want us to ride in a boat for hours and not seeing a blue whale. Much appreciated. We booked an excursion to the Magdalena Bay to watch gray whales. It was an expensive excursion to travel two hours from Loreto to the Pacific side to have a two hour boat ride in the Magdalena Bay then another two hours on the bus back to Loreto. We saw no whale. Furthermore the tour company actually informed the Princess Cruise not to book any such excursion in January. The gray whales usually come in February.
