What To Expect
Morro De Areia Beach And Nature Reserve
Morro de arreia are the sanddunes located on Praia de Chaves. This is one of the most beautiful landscapes of the island. The view of the sanddunes going over into the ocean is breathtaking. This is also the location where we go sandboarding.
Praia da Varandinha
After the sanddunes we go first to the turtle bay and Shark bay. Here you can watch the turles and sharks in their natural habitat. Most turtles that can be seen are green turtles. Sometimes loggerhead turtles. At the shark bay you generally get to see lemon or nurse sharks. This is also the location where the baby sharks grow up until they are big enough before heading out to the deep waters. After the turtle bay and shark bay, we go to praia varandinha. This location is vamous for the ancient caves and where the loggerhead turtles nests during the nesting season.

5.00A very nice trip to different locations on the island. Our guide Veronique always gave us a word of explanation about the location and history. Nice and cheerful lady who made a relaxing and interesting trip of it. The driver of the 4x4 also deserves a compliment for his driving style and the necessary care and comfort for his passengers. Was for us the best end of a beautiful holiday. Highly recommended for everyone!

5.00The Boa Vista 4x4: Sharks, Turtles, Caves, Sandboard & Tasting Tour was an incredible experience! The staff were super friendly, and even though it was a group tour, our guide made everyone feel like they were getting a private experience. She was very knowledgeable about the island’s history, culture, and even the neighbouring islands, which made the tour even more interesting. Unfortunately, we didn’t get to see the sharks this time, and the waves were too strong for some parts of the excursion — but that’s all part of nature, and it gives us a great reason to come back!

5.00we had the best, funniest and nicest tour guide ever. Veronique did an amazing job! We had so much fun with her. Unfortunately we did not see any sharks but - besides that - we saw incredible coast riffs and sand beaches (Santa Monica Beach) and had a great time with sandboarding and drinking shots.

5.00Superb activity. the little surf tour on the sand is nice. The cave is small but pretty. Santa Monica Beach is beautiful. The turtles were at the RV! (But not sharks.). Veronique is a great guide. The southwest coast is clean compared to the northeast. No plastic to bemoan. 1⁄2 day is more than enough

5.00Great trip, picked up on time, comfortable vehicle, everything as promised, ( sharks weren’t around due to time of year) but on the plus side we saw wild donkeys. Great way to get around and see the west of the island- as it’s is isolated with no roads and much of it protected so driving yourself would be risky to the vehicle, yourself but more importantly the wildlife. Grog tasting lots of fun.
