What To Expect
Morro De Areia Beach And Nature Reserve
Morro de arreia are the sanddunes located on Praia de Chaves. This is one of the most beautiful landscapes of the island. The view of the sanddunes going over into the ocean is breathtaking. This is also the location where we go sandboarding.
Praia da Varandinha
After the sanddunes we go first to the turtle bay and Shark bay. Here you can watch the turles and sharks in their natural habitat. Most turtles that can be seen are green turtles. Sometimes loggerhead turtles. At the shark bay you generally get to see lemon or nurse sharks. This is also the location where the baby sharks grow up until they are big enough before heading out to the deep waters. After the turtle bay and shark bay, we go to praia varandinha. This location is vamous for the ancient caves and where the loggerhead turtles nests during the nesting season.

4.00This was a great trip and Angelique (our guide) was great and made the experience even better. The only reason we didn’t give it 5 stars is due to the way the online description indicates the shark and turtle encounters. However now knowing this we would still recommend the trip to anyone

5.00Everything was great, booking, guide, whole tour. Me and my girlfriend have experienced a lot! Turtles, Sharks, beautiful beaches and fun with sandboarding! Our guide was nice and kind person and we enjoyed every minute of conversation with him. Tour took 4,5 hour!

5.00This is a must do tour when in Boa Vista! We got to explore different areas of the Island and experience some truly beautiful nature spots. During the tour we got to sand board in the dunnes, see turtles and other wildlife, explore caves, spend some time on the stunning Santa Monica beach and have a drink tasting session in the first village on the Island. Our tour guide Jana and the driver made the experience even better with their enthusiasm and love for the Island. Would 100% recommend this tour to all who visit the Island!

5.00Our guide was Mr. Arlindo. Very friendly and helpful! The best!! We liked the visit, in general corresponded to expectations, we got to know the island in a general way. Our guide was always attentive with us, clarified all our doubts. Excellent driving the pick-up. A hug from Gonçalo and Carolina of Portugal! As a suggestion for Portuguese customers, for lunch we wanted to have more suggestions from restaurants, in Casa Rosa the food was good but it is an expensive option - and we being Portuguese and knowing the historical connection between the 2 countries, going to a restaurant that is not typical of Cape Verde and that do not even speak Portuguese is a little bad and disappointing.

3.00With us the tour was a bit disappointing , the weather was a bit disappointing so they might have given us the option to postpone the tour . Sandboarding we expected more of, turtles we have seen , sharks not . The caves we liked , too bad the guide was not with us to take pictures of us . The tasting was due to the weather conditions inside and quickly over. Our tour was over after 3am instead of 4am , an extra stop for that price would certainly have been allowed . The guide was not fully there that day due to private problems which was a shame.

5.00Very beautiful adventure, Santa Monica is just magical, this beach, and we were able to swim in this large pool of three shades of blue, the cave visit was incredible, sand surfing was great, we saw the turtles from the top of the cliff (at this spot, you cannot swim) but unfortunately, we did not see the sharks. The driver as well as the host were top-notch.

5.00I recommend!! From the tour, the only experience that was not possible was to see the sharks, otherwise we did everything and we loved it! We were family, it was an adventure for the little one, and always safe. Without doubt it would not have been the same if it had not been the company, the experience and knowledge, and above all the attention and sympathy of Mr. ARLINDO 😊. We liked it so much that we booked Snorkeling with Mr. Arlindo and Captain Bony 😉, this experience also highly recommend! Thank you for everything and see you next time!
