Very lively, the tourist district of Petite France is known for its cobbled streets, its canals and its well-preserved half-timbered houses such as the Maison des Tanneurs, built in 1572. The terrace located on the roof of the Vauban dam, a lock-bridge canopy built in the 17th century, offers a panoramic view.

    We experienced a moody boat tour with a helpful and knowledgeable captain who took care of our well-being for two hours. We got to know Strasbourg from a completely different angle than on a city tour.

    This was the highlight of our time in Strasbourg. Captain Cedric was very helpful in planning our boat tour and offers drinks and snacks if you want them on board (extra charge). He takes a lot of care bringing the passengers on board - you must wear booties over your shoes or remove your shoes. There are things you see from the water that you dont see on the walking tour like the European Parliament buildings. We had a lovely afternoon and would highly recommend this tour.

    Cedric is a very pleasant captain. Crémant and warm blankets added to the festive atmosphere of our Christmas Day boating experience. A fun way to see different parts of Strasbourg and traversing the locks is a unique experience.
