Depart from the picturesque fishing village of Porticello to discover the Castle of Solanto, to give life to the adventure sailing towards the Formica Rock and snorkel among many fish in the cleanest sea of Sicily
and then continue towards Capo Zafferano where you can admire breathtaking rocks and caves overlooking the sea passing by the Three Pools (in the top 10 of the most beautiful places to swim in Sicily) and dive again, continuing the magic and photograph the famous Blue Arch, continuing to arrive in the cool waters of the Bay of the French so returning in the hope of spotting DOLPHINS and skirting the caves and the magnificent Bay of Sant'Elia and its White House.

What To Expect
Castello di Solanto
The imposing Castle of Solanto located between Casteldaccia and Porticello was built in Norman times one of the oldest Sicilian feuds overlooking the sea immersed in the bursting natural beauty of Sicily and the stories of the fishermen, the aristocratic families who lived there.
Scoglio di Formica
The Formica Rock, located about a mile east from the port of Porticello PA, in northern Sicily. A wonder in the open sea where you have the opportunity to swim with many fish in a beautiful water and unique for its biodiversity. Black coral, gorgonias, starfish, amberjacks, octopuses, glances and much more.

An unforgettable experience on a traditional wooden boat

5.00Our boat tour from Porticello was one of the absolute highlights of our holiday in Sicily. Even the boat itself – a beautiful old wooden boat – had incredible charm and made the trip special from the start. First we went out to the so-called Ant Island, an impressive underwater mountain range just outside Porticello. There the fish were fed by the captain, so while snorkeling we were surrounded by hundreds of colorful fish, starfish, sea urchins and other marine animals – a real little natural cinema. Afterwards we drove along Capo Zafferano, where we happened to meet a small fishing boat. One of our group even spontaneously bought a freshly caught, still alive octopus directly from the fisherman – an absolutely authentic moment, as you only experience it at sea. The way back took us along the picturesque bay of St. Elias, where the waters shimmered almost kitschy turquoise. Throughout the tour, our driver was super friendly, telling relaxed stories and explaining a lot about Porticello, the marine world and the surrounding area. You could tell how much he loves and lives the sea. Conclusion: A dreamlike, personal tour – not mass handling, but real Sicilian lifestyle. Highly recommended! 🌊⛵️✨

5.00The excursion with Vincenzo and his fantastic boat Clara was beautiful. The boat is very spacious and comfortable, took us to swim in very picturesque coves, cheering the crossing with his stories and his sympathy! We ended on a high note with an excellent aperitif based on local products and prosecco. I highly recommend doing this experience and with Vincenzo!

5.00We were on the boat in 4, the children (13 and (17 years) had a great time. We visited places with wonderful sea, some difficult to visit by land. We stopped just right to take a bath. Thanks to the experience and skill of Vincenzo, who is a fantastic person, we were also able to spot, photograph and make a video of the dolphins. Superb connoisseur of the places visited, he told us a lot. It is an experience that I will definitely repeat and that I recommend everyone to do if you are in those parts. Stefano

5.00AMAZING experience! The most beautiful of my entire holiday in Sicily this year. Not only thanks to all the wonderful places we visited, but also for the Welcoming of Captain Paolo who with professionalism and patience explained us what was the history of the places where we stopped, making us find masks, fins, lifebuoys on board and delighting us with a local aperitif and fruit in front of a breathtaking sunset. I wanted to take this trip on the sea with my family and as mentioned above it was the most beautiful of the whole holiday, thanks again for the kindness, friendliness and the beautiful experience that you made us live.

5.00Beautiful experience that I highly recommend. First of all because Vincenzo is an exceptional person, both for a competence and seriousness - rare in this sector of improvised - and for sympathy. Secondly the boat we were on,Clara, is very comfortable and spacious and he absolutely does not tend to overload people to get more income, unlike many other people who are in this environment. The tour that we did, the five-hour tour, includes at least three bathroom stops and an aperitif break with tastings of bruschetta with typical Sicilian specialties. It is not a lunch, beware, but a taste so that you can count that if you disembark at 14:00 you will then have to eat. The places you visit are very suggestive especially for the landscape, but certainly also the sea, especially for those who are not Sicilian, come.instead of me, invites you to dive and swim. Come on, Vincenzo.
