This was so much fun! We met at the Cranky Crock Hostel. Our tour guide was Melissa and she was wonderful. We hit 5 restaurants, with her explaining each food in detail. On the hot chocolate stop, she patiently taught us how chocolate is processed, from pod to our cups. We had a breakfast soup called Changua soup; a beans, rice, and egg dish; passion fruit; a breakfast tamale; hot chocolate with cheese in it (!); Almojabana bread, among other dishes. There was one hill, but it was an easy short walk around the Crank Croc neighborhood. I'm 67 and had no problems with the walk. I'd do this tour again!

Excellent experience with Melissa. Locations were an easy walk. Enjoy coffee and hot chocolate (different stops). Glad she gave us permission to try but not finish everything. Fruit stop was great learning about Columbian's diversity

Andrea was amazing! She knows the area and the history behind the origin of each breakfast item. We had Changua, a typical breakfast soup in Bogotá that the Spaniards adopted from the indigenous people which I found very tasty, Caldo de Costilla a good hangover cure if ever there was one. It was delicious, I had it with beef broth and it was absolutely delicious, the beef was so tender and fresh. Andrea made one additional stop to try a breakfast item from the Caribbean coast, Arepa de Huevo, it was very delicious especially paired with the variety of sauces! Lastly, Andrea took me to a chocolatier. Omg. Colombian chocolate is increíble. Andrea talked about the history of chocolate in the region and how Colombia is making chocolate their own. And for good reason. I tried chocolate y queso for the first time. I highly recommend having it. It is delicious. I highly recommend this tour and thank Andrea for the experience she provided.

If you get Andrea for your tour guide, you will not be disappointed. She speaks perfect English so do not be afraid of not understanding anything. She was very accommodating when I asked if I could purchase some chocolate to take home to share. Amazing tour, amazing tour guide 5/5.

Her tour was informative, interesting, and she was happy to answer all of my questions about the food we were eating and Colombia in general.
