Bohemian Paradise (Cesky raj) became first protected landscape area in the Czech Republic and it is the only UNESCO geopark in Central Europe. It is one of the most visited regions in Czech Republic due to its amazing natural and historical heritage. This tour offers a mixture of nature, wilderness and local hospitality. You will visit three different areas, see lots of rocks, viewpoints, castles, castle ruins and have an á la carte lunch in local restaurant. You will experience unforgettable moments, we guarantee!

What To Expect
Prague
Your tour starts at 8:30am by complimentary pick up in your hotel/accommodation in Prague center and direct transfer to Bohemian Paradise (Cesky raj). We use comfortable seven-seat a/c vans, so the group is always pretty small. English speaking experienced local guide will stay for all the day with you.
Hrad Kost
Your first stop will be by the medieval castle Kost from 14th century. We will take a short walk around the castle and lake.

5.00We had an amazing experience on this excursion and would highly recommend it! We were picked up in a comfortable van and received a bottle of water at the start. The day was perfectly planned — first, we visited a beautiful castle, then drove to a stunning area with a forest and huge rock formations, where we went on a scenic hike. Afterwards, we enjoyed a delicious lunch, followed by another short hike in a different location. Throughout the day, there were bathroom breaks, and we also got some snacks, which was a nice touch. A special thank you to Tom, our guide, who was very friendly, knowledgeable, and made the day even more enjoyable. This was the highlight of our trip to Prague — we all love nature, and this day was the perfect mix of adventure, relaxation, and great company. Highly recommended!

5.00I took a friend and my mother, 77, with me. I was able to enjoy it slowly by driving, temple polite explanation to slowly adjust to this pace. Lunch is very good and I would love to come back if I had the chance. They were also quick and courteous from booking to meeting.

5.00All thanks and kudos go from me and my husband to Tomas, our guide on the individual trip to Bohemian Paradise in mid April 2025. Helped by perfect weather we had an unforgettable day of walking Prachov rocks, best air quality ever and interesting and engaging conversations about recent and not history, nature, modern society etc. We did green trail -moderate distance for 2.5 hours in Prachov rocks, Cost castle surroundings and lunch in the excellent restaurant he knew. The last stop gem was an abandoned apartment formed in the rock near the castle. Highly recommend Tomas as a local guide for a day nature escape from Prague. Visited on another day trip Saxon Switzerland, seemed less impressive than our journey with Tomas.

5.00What a perfect day this was , I’d done some research on the Prague area and this tour stood out above the rest , I was a little apprehensive because of the time of year and wether it would affect any part of the experience , I emailed Tom beforehand ( several times ) about any concerns , he always replied with friendly and prompt emails , this soon put my mind at ease , I needn’t of worried at all , Feb is the perfect time to visit , we dressed for the frosty start , we had Tom all to ourselves as it was out of season , we travelled in his comfy people carrier about an hour out of Prague , first stop a beautiful old castle , we had already been given a run down on how the day would progress and what to expect , this tour did not disappoint , I’m so glad I booked it , the rocks were just as beautiful as I’d hoped , Tom always guided us around the parks at our pace , I never felt rushed ,and he was always explaining areas , pointing out various points of interest , wether it be about the nature or the history of the park we was in , when we reached the top of one lookout , he produced a flask of hot tea and honey( the honey made by a close friend ) , and coffee , that felt a bit special warming up to a delicious treat 😋 after the first park we headed to a traditional village pub for lunch , once again Tom explains the menu ( although it is in English as well ) and after a little about each dish we chose traditional Czech cuisine , you can order a soup and main and a drink , this is all in the cost of the tour , another thing you don’t have to think about 🙂 after a leisurely lunch ( again we are not rushed ) we head to the final destination , and once again we are taken back by the beauty of the area , we was lucky to get Tom to ourselves , and we hardly see any other people , like I said Feb turned out to be a great time to visit, this is Toms business and his passion and knowledge of this country clearly shine through , I fired a lot of Questions about various things throughout the day , I learnt so much , this tour was truly a fantastic end to our four day trip in Prague .Written by Nicola risbridger ( the wife )

5.00This was an amazing trip. This area is a short drive from Prague, so we were able to spend most of the day hiking. Tom organized it really well and the day was relaxing and never rushed. It was great to get away from the crowds of the city and enjoy this beautiful area. We had lunch at a lovely restaurant. The tour was a good value and I highly recommend this day trip!

5.00To park you have to pay cash, be mindful of this because you can't pay by ATM nearby. The walking route is not well signposted, but if you keep following the most logical main path you will automatically arrive in the forest with the rock formations. This is already beautiful, but be sure to walk all the way to the top. The view is superb. We went with our toddler. He was in the baby carrier, so this walk is more than doable. Next to the official vantage point is another very nice view. There is a small path leading to it. Note, there are no fences here.
