Very, very nice experience! The guide took the time for all the walkers and was very patient with everyone! It is a hike that requires mentality but the landscapes are breathtaking! I highly recommend doing this hike!

Our Airbnb host connected us with Nahjie for our Boiling Lake hike. Nahjie’s colleague Charlie served as our guide on this incredible experience and we could not have asked for a better day. Not only were conditions generally quite favorable for us with very little rain and minimal sun exposure, but Charlie as our guide was absolutely perfect. We had a mix of physical capabilities in our group of 4 and he handled it perfectly. He was kind and calm, knowledgeable and supportive. He’s the perfect combination as a guide. If I could give him 10 stars, I would. Thank you Charlie and Nahjie for an unforgettable day in an unforgettable place.

We had a fantastic experience! There was some confusion with getting off of our cruise ship and meeting at the location for transport, and our driver was excellent. He was so patient and accommodating and stayed in communication really well. The hike itself was amazing. This is one of the biggest hikes we've done and our guide was helpful throughout, offering some advice but also giving us latitude for our own pace. He was a great conversationalist besides! The landscape throughout the hike and the lake itself were stunning. Would highly recommend all the way around (although our legs are still sore)!

We had a wonderful experience with Just Go Dominica! Nahjie was amazing with the kids, very attentive, and never rushed us, he always made sure we enjoyed each place at the best moment. Highly recommend, and we’d love to come back to try the tours we missed!

This is a very challenging excursion and suggested for more seasoned hikers. The terrain has many elements including multitude of altitude changes inculding rivers, forest and valley of hot water sulfur springs. Special thanks to our very informative and patience guide Nahgie

Be careful, this is not just a hike. It is 8 hours of constant climbing and every step requires focus and patience. Going through valley of desolation is utterly exhausting. I want to point to Viator to assign more experienced and engaged guides to this excursion. The guide we were assigned to, Urel, had none of the necessary and essential skills. Imagine while you are struggling with constant climbing, your guide telling you how two days ago some guy who was 22 fell while doing work up in the boiling lake and died; and few months ago a girl from neighbouring island of Martinique, disappeared and they never found her. This is neither encouraging nor professional. Then he goes hopping on one leg trying to show what? Dominance? It felt like he came here for his fun and to do his job. Also, he says something along the lines, ‘I can’t walk slow’ and then he just disappears in the woods, we would meet him 20 minutes later sitting and listening to the music. We got more assistance from other guides as we would bump into their groups than from our own guide. Bottom line, Viator, you need to be better. We use your company for all our excursions, on all our trips around the world, and this is the first time we experienced something like this. About the Boiling lake, it is amazing experience if you survive. Don’t take kids younger than 14, make sure you have proper hiking shoes and rain jackets; bring water and food, as none of this is provided along the way. Make sure you get a good night sleep the night before and don’t be late; great time to start is 8am, as you don’t want to be in the woods after dark.

This experience was amazing! Two days later, and Christmas morning… And we are still celebrating… And laughing… and a little bit sore. Charlton picked us up in town and handed us off to Floof, our guide for the day. Floof was fantastic! He kept us safe and made it fun… Educating us about the flora, the terrain, potential obstacles, and dangers. We moved fairly efficiently. Our guide quickly judged the pace that would be fun and safe. The boiling lake and the valley of desolation make you feel like you’re on the surface of the moon. Bring stable, all-terrain, running shoes or hiking shoes that can get wet. Bring a positive attitude, and a desire for adventure.… And, Bring some fitness… It’s worth it because getting to the boiling lake takes some effort. You will be wet within the first five minutes. Accept it and enjoy it! The two of us traveled with Floof, but encountered parties with other guides ranging from one person to six people – from all over the world.… US, Sweden, Dubai, Netherlands, etc. On completing the hike, the sense of accomplishment is tremendous……decompressing in Titou Gorge is icing on the cake. Don’t miss this! Rejuvenated and out of the cold water, I was shivering, so one of the ladies bundled me up in a beautiful women’s beach cover-up – and I’m a guy (so have something warm and dry to put on), and then sent us upstairs for some refreshments. Charlton met us back there. Together with Floof, we enjoyed a few shots of spiced rum (Bush Rum) and, miraculously the cold was gone! The road back to town was blocked temporarily… So we enjoyed a few more shots. The hospitality was top notch! Even the ride back to town was good. Can’t say enough about our enjoyment! It was an incredible experience!

What a hike! Seemed like I was experiencing something different around every corner. I have done a lot of hikes in my life and this one ranks near the top. Challenging and very rewarding. Nahgie was a terrific guide, explained some things along the way that are unique to Dominica, had a comfortable pace for the group, and made the whole experience very enjoyable.

This was my last day as a 58 year old woman. The hike was very hard, probably the hardest i have ever done. Chadi Symes was our guide he i never met a most patient person. He was there for me all the step of the way.. Took us over 8 hours but I was proud to complete the hike. Again it is tough with some parts being more of a climb than a hike.
