Do not sleep on this tour. It if you're thinking about booking it, do it! Our guide, Travis, was absolutely amazing. He's incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and engaging. As a solo traveler, I really appreciated that he offered to take photos of me with the jaw-dropping scenery. The Salt Flats were out of this world. No wonder movies like Independence Day and Pirates of the Caribbean were filmed there! It was a spectacular experience from start to finish, and I’m already looking forward to booking another tour with Southwest Adventure Tours next time I visit SLC. Highly recommend!

The stories our guide told us about the salt flats were very interesting! It is expensive, I think it was 150.00 per person, but it was well worth it. Beautiful scenery, great stories and interesting facts. It will take up a good portion of your day, 6 hours, but it is a great memory!

Came into salt lake city a day early to do something fun. Really enjoyed this experience. So nice to be picked up at the hotel and be driven around. Travis was super knowledgeable and friendly. The van was nice and clean. I love guided tours and this did not disappoint.

Fun trip out to the otherworldly salt flats with an affable, knowledgeable guide (Blake). Bring a jacket; it gets windy out there. We also visited a very cool airfield with an abandoned plane, as well as the Salt Lake National Park, which was a bit stinky.

We had a wonderful experience with Sonsari at the Salt Flats! She was very knowledgeable of the area and kept the trip interesting. We stopped at the Tree of Life sculpture and spotted some pronghorn on the way out. The flats are beautiful! They go on for miles and make such interesting formations on the ground. Our guide made sure we were at the Bonneville Speedway right at dusk for optimal viewing. She even had a little impromptu photoshoot for those who wanted one—what a fun time! I recommend taking a tour of the flats with Sonsari if you have the chance.

The salt flats were other worldly to see in person and walk on. The salt formations were cool and there were desert mirage optical illusions you could see on the drive out there. I walked in the great salt lake just because we could. Our driver Mrs.Davis was great! She had lots of information and made the drive to the flats enjoyable. Plenty of bathroom stops and one stop for food. She even had a special souvenir for us to make and bring back home. Very friendly and great to do if you’re traveling alone and have no car but want to get out of the city. You could see wildlife from the car. In the pictures it might look like snow or ice but it’s really just all salt.
