Daehan Dawon Tea Plantation produces high-quality green tea and is a popular tourist attraction year-round thanks to the vast rows of tea trees that line the hillside like a deep green carpet. Despite being located on a small peak at just 350 meters above sea level, the observation deck at the summit offers views of the sea on clear days. The entrance to the tea plantation is also lined with tall cedar trees, adding a unique aspect to this plantation. Daehan Dawon Tea Plantation has been featured as a filming site in dramas such as “Summer Scent (2002),” “Legend of the Blue Sea (2017),” and “The Rebel (2017).”
Suncheonman Bay National Garden was established on a plot of 1.12 million ㎢ to help protect Suncheonman Bay. The garden is home to over 790,000 trees in 505 species and 3.15 million flowers in 113 species. The numerous groups of tulips and royal azaleas are truly a sight to see. In addition, the nearby 30,000 ㎡ field of canola flowers in full bloom in May creates a beautiful yellow "wave" of color. Although there are restaurants within the garden, bringing in food is allowed, making the garden a great location for a picnic in the shade of the trees. After exploring the garden, visitors can hop on the unmanned shuttle train (PRT) and ride to Suncheon Literature Center, and then transfer to the Reed Trolley to pass the 1.2-kilometer stretch of reeds to Mujingyo Bridge.

Our private guide Suyang gave us a wonderful day to remember. We travelled with him to our various stops via local transport: a cultural insight that we would have missed if it was by coach. Suyang took us to lunch to a local restaurant which was an excellent way to experience new local korean dishes. The Green Tea Fields and Wetlands are worth a visit especially with Suyang as he has knowledge and history of the area. He included tote bags and gifts with this experience. Highly recommend 👌
