  The tour itself was fabulous. I have done a lot of tours throughout Europe! This is one of the best, most fun I've ever had. The transportation was clean, and Verenice gave us a bit of history on the ride to the distilleries. During the tours, Verenice watches the time, but you can also keep in contact with her cell number to ensure you aren't left behind. Communication is excellent. We visited Buffalo Trace, Woodford Reserve, and Jeptha Creed. Each was very well done, with delicious samples and great souvenir options. The other passengers were fantastic as well, lots of laughs for all. I must add that we, a group of four, were skeptical at first. Normally, through Viator, we receive confirmation from the operator shortly after making the reservation - only Viator showed the confirmation in the app. We had some questions early on, and they went unanswered; phone numbers just rang, and it got frustrating. Days before the event, we received confirmation from both Viator and the operator, communication was there via text and email. So, don't despair ◡̈

  This was a truly fulfilling tour of the Kentucky bourbon experience. While originally planning to see 4 distilleries, the tour guide was able to squeeze in a 5th distillery and really picked some nice spots to visit. Berenice was our tour guide and she was really kind, sweet, engaging, and actively worked the entire time to make everyone's experience fun and comfortable. We got to taste more than enough bourbon and it was awesome getting to learn the history and see the beautiful geographic locations of all of the distilleries and the roads in between. I think this is a great tour whether you love bourbon or not. And as a regular fan of Woodford Reserve, it was awesome getting to see their distillery and go through their history and tasting experience.

  We didn't get our itinerary until 8 PM that Friday night (for a Saturday tour). The driver also texted us at 11 PM to tell us the pickup time, which was at 7:30 AM the next day. Our itinerary listed 5 stops and he completely missed the first stop and went straight to the 2nd one. The ride there, he was swerving a few times and other patrons noted he seemed to be dozing off or checking his phone while driving. When we arrived, we went inside and the lady working asked if we were there for a tour and nobody knew what was happening, including the driver who had to call his parent company to figure out what the plan was. This also happened at some of the subsequent distilleries, where it was unclear if there was an included tour or if it was just free-time. When folks were running late at certain distilleries, he didn't take the initiative to round them up and keep to the schedule (where it's clearly noted that we needed to depart on time). He mentioned it was his first day working and while we tried to be empathetic, the mistakes just seemed far too many.

  Driver went to Wild Turkey first instead of Four Roses so we never made it to Four Roses Distillery. Driver needs phone holder on dash instead of setting it on his leg and looking down to navigate. No communication as to what time we needed to return to the van. Driver would just come find us and say go to the van we’re leaving.

  Just read some of the 5 star reviews on here, and I feel like we did not use the same tour company. First we didn’t get a meet up time until 8:30 the night before, and then at midnight got a change to the time. Our driver had a hard time keeping his eyes open while driving. Then delivered us to the wrong distillery where we had nothing booked but had to stay there for 45 minutes. Each distillery we went to he had no idea what the plan was for us. And you can’t book a tour for 10 hours and not have a place for us to get a meal mid day. We had to bring our own waters, and thank goodness one of the distillery sold chips and beef jerky for us to eat. So many things went wrong it became comical. But for $200/pp we expected better. Basically it’s seemed like a low budget operation, not organized or well planned. Needless to say I don’t recommend and I wouldn’t do again.

  Although distilleries close early on Sundays, the driver took me around right on schedule, so I was able to enjoy ourselves.
