We were 3 travellers who did the Bovilla lake tour with Tirana Free Tours company and had a really wonderful experience. Rei our driver picked us up at our accommodation and we drove in a comfortable air conditioned car stopping at different spots to take pictures. Rei was very friendly and told us so much about Albania along route. I was so grateful for his help climbing to and from the viewing platform at Bovilla. Because we were so happy with the experience, we asked Rei if the company could do a tailor-made trip to Berat the next day. It was the best decision we made because we were able to choose exact drop off and pick up points and times at Berat castle and Berat town. We also made a prior additional stop at the picturesque town of Belsh. Aldo was our driver and was also very kind and friendly, and despite not speaking much English, he did his absolute best to communicate with us through Ariola (in their office), who acted as interpreter via mobile phone. We can’t praise the company enough. They made sure that every detail was met, including ensuring we had time for rest and food breaks on both trips. We highly recommend Tirana free tours to anyone thinking of visiting Bovilla and Berat. They also do a free 2 hour walking tour of Tirana, which is well worth joining and Clint, the tour guide, helped us to get a true understanding of the country and its rich history and warm and hospitable people.

We had a great day! The view was amazing, the tour guide was very enthusiastic. The BBQ was amazing! Best bbq I have had in a while! I would highly recommend booking this excursion.

We were with a group of 32 people and they organized the tour for us. The communication prior and during the tour was perfect, clear and it was great to see that they speak with passion about their country and the tour was above expectations. Definitely recommend!! They gave us the experience that we were looking for and we will never forget. Thank you so much again for everything.

Rei picked me up at my apartment bang on time . It took about an hour to reach Bovilla and he gave me a fantastic history lesson on Albania on the trip…. He is incredibly knowledgeable for a young guy. The trip itself is mind blowing….. do not miss your chance if you are in Tirana …. Absolutely breathtaking. And if Rei is available ask for him..,, best and most informative local guide I’ve ever had. Friendly, intelligent, kind and helpful….. absolutely 10 out of 10. Tim
