Upon arrival at Bovilla(1.5 hours), you'll be greeted by the tranquil beauty of the lake, set against the backdrop of towering mountains. Here, a guided nature walk/hike awats. Throughout the day, enjoy breaks at panoramic viewpoints, each offering a unique perspective of the lake's vast expanse and the surrounding natural wonders.

1. THIS IS A REAL HIKE OF APPROXIMATELY 2 KM AND VERY DIFFICULT IN HOT WEATHER. A GOOD LEVEL OF FITNESS IS NEEDED FOR THE TOUR!!
2. THE ROAD TO BOVILLA LAKE IS UNPAVED AND REALLY BUMPY

What To Expect
Afte the pick up we will drive for about 1 hour and 30 minutes to reach our first photo stop at the canyon. Here the travellers will have a chance to take photos for about 10 minutes.
Lake Bovilla
After the stop at the canyon the next stop will be at the dam of the Bovilla Lake. The hike will start from here.

5.00It was an amazing experience. Our guide Artol was so knowledgeable and amiable. He was patient through the hike as well and the views at the end of it all were so beautiful! Definitely give this a try when in Tirane, it’s a good way to spend some time outside the city and see the hidden parts.

5.00We had an amazing experience on this trip! Our guide Ilmi was absolutely fantastic — very knowledgeable and super chilled, which made the whole journey so much more enjoyable. He had a great sense of humor that kept us laughing along the way, and he was always patient with our pace during the hike. I really appreciated that he gave us plenty of time to stop, take in the views, and just enjoy the moment without feeling rushed. It was a perfect balance of fun, learning, and relaxation. Highly recommend!

5.00This trip was a great experience! First of all everything went smoothly (pick up in Tiranna, transport to the mountains with breaks). We would definitely recommend a guided tour as the roads are mostly just narrow dirt roads with large potholes and there is regular oncoming traffic by truck. Our guide Beni was very friendly and incidentally also told a lot about Albania in general as well as the history of the country. The lake is beautiful and in reality looks even more impressive than in the photos! The hike is quite feasible and with each metre of altitude the view becomes more beautiful. Once at the top there is a viewing platform and a small restaurant. Finally, Beni is back with the whole group to the bus and we were dropped off again in Tiranna. On request, Beni even recommended us a restaurant where we then ate very delicious dinner:) 10/10!!
