1. Observe many from the 123 brown bears of various ages hosted by the Sanctuary in Zarnesti (the biggest Bear Sanctuary in Europe).
2. Visit the famous Bran Castle which initially served as military defense fortification, then as customs point and ultimately as one of the summer residences of the Romanian royal family.
It's a medieval castle with a royal touch, that's also linked to the Dracula legend. Besides touring the castle you also get free time for souvenirs in the bazaar at the footsteps of the landmark.
3. The Rasnov citadel was an important medieval fortification in Transylvania. It has a spectacular view of the Barsa Land. We'll visit the outside garden and the Rasnov letters on the hill!
4. Last but not least you can taste our traditional strong drink at a local Palinca distillery. Find out how plumbs, apricots, cherries, pears and other fruits are distilled and maturated!
We return to Brasov in the afternoon!

5.00All I can say is look no further if you want to tick off a few of the “must do” trips in Transylvania in one day with the best guide! Everything about this trip was 10/10! At each venue Vlad is available and full of in depth knowledge …we called him the encyclopaedia of Transylvania! He is super friendly and has a great sense of humour. Nothing is too much trouble and can quite easily say he is the best guide I’ve ever come across on all my adventures. The Bear sanctuary is a must see… as heartbreaking as some of the stories are it is rewarding to see that the bears are safe now. Bran castle and the fortress are breathtaking and steeped in so much history. You ask the question Vlad knows the answer! I know so much about Transylvania history in a few days. In between each venue Vlad also continues to share his knowledge, it’s unbelievable how much he knows! The Distillery… a really interesting place to visit but watch Vlad he nearly got us drunk and all the facts I had learnt throughout the day nearly got forgotten! Only joking but we had lots of fun the tasting the different varieties of Palinca! Honestly look no further book this tour!!

5.00An excellent, full day of varied activities. Our guide, Vlad was brilliant, imparting a wealth of knowledge on both the history of the region and the wildlife that lives amongst it. A really interesting and fun day out. The day flew by and we felt thoroughly looked after. Would highly recommend.

5.00Vlad was an incredible guide for our hiking, walking and sightseeing trip today. He is approachable, very knowledgeable and speaks extremely good English. Vlad also accommodated our needs as we had two children with us. Vlad knows the history of the area like the back of his hand and was very attentive to our needs. I would recommend Vlad to anyone wanting to travel in and around Braşov

5.00What a day! Vali was friendly and incredibly knowledgeable. His passion for the wellbeing of the bears at the sanctuary is apparent and we had a brilliant time there. The sanctuary is huge and the work they do there is much needed. Despite some of the bears still bearing mental scars from their previous lives, it is wonderful to see the environment they now enjoy and the care they receive. It was heartbreaking to hear their stories, yet heartwarming to see them being so free. Bran castle was stunning and vali's knowledge made the whole experience all the better. As part of the fort we visited was closed, Vali was kind enough to show us the nearby ski resort. We ended the day at the distillery, where we tried lots of Palinka, enjoying it so much, we bought a bottle to take back.

5.00Thank you Vlad for an amazing trip. Vlad is a licensed Romanian Tourist Guide and is incredibly knowledgable. He planned our trip based on the best opening times/tours for the day. He shared with us a lot of history about the bears, Bran Castle and Rasnov Citadel. He also gave us a great lunch recommendation. We couldn’t recommend this tour and Vlad enough.
