Bratislava Identity Bike Tour is an insightful cycling journey with our local guide to understand the essentials of history and genius loci of the Slovak capital. Enjoy the ride around the main city landmarks of the Bratislava Old Town, communist-era housing estates, the largest city park, two unique bridges and modern riverside developments.
Our bike tour takes you to the best cycling locations near the Bratislava city centre. After introduction in the Old Town, we cross the Danube river by iconic SNP bridge and enjoy splendid views to the main Bratislava city landmarks. We enjoy the chill of the oldest city park and head to the authentic communist-era housing estates of Petržalka.
The last part of the route leads us to the post-industrial modern riverside projects and the picturesque Blue Church. This intense bike tour shows you a full picture of Bratislava with its contrasts between medieval Old Town, Cold War history and the most recent developments.

5.00The four of us had the pleasure of having Brano as our guide for both the "Legends and Countryside Tour" and the "Bratislava Identity Bike Tour" two consecutive days last week. Both tours were perfectly planned and our guide was absolutely top-notch! We learned so much about the city and country since we had many, many hours to ask questions and see the country. And try the wines of course... 🙂 I cannot recommend these trips, and Brano, enough! If there was more than five starts I would add that too! 🙂

5.00Simply the best...I cannot recommend this highly enough. Very friendly, professional and great value. Brano communicated with us in advance to ensure we met up easily & that our bikes were the correct size etc. He had customised the tour based on my question and had quickly assessed our cycling ability to ensure all went smoothly. This of course instantly put us at ease as did his well organised and researched delivery. He is incredibly informative and happily answered all manner of questions that we threw at him. If you do one thing in Bratislava, then this should be it.

5.00In October 2022 I took the Bratislava Identity Bike Tour with Braňo, and close to a year later I still remember how fun it was! In a bit over 4 hours we cycled an easy 11 mi/18 km through Bratislava's Old Town and across the Danube to places such as old WWII military bunkers. Braňo was a very outgoing and entertaining guide, and the stories he told about Bratislava/Slovakia/Czechoslovakia were fascinating - not just your standard "This church was built by this king in year XXXX," but modern history, politics, and things to really give you a feel about what it's like to live/have lived in Bratislava. This bike tour was the best thing I did during my trip to Bratislava. I highly reccomend this bike tour as well as Authentic Slovakia as a company. If I were to ever take more day tours in the Bratislava area, I would definitely book another tour with them!

5.00This tour was simply outstanding. And I have done many. Maros our guide understood the socio-economic and cultural history of Slovakia and of the whole of Eastern Europe's internal and international relationships from all angles yet somehow managed to tailor all of the for all of us in a fascinating way. Superb. And the ride itself was marvellous. As was the stop for a beer. I made the mistake of paying twice, having paid months ago online to secure a booking with this must do tour. I was emailed 30 minutes after with a refund. Honest, talented, wonderful. Book it ..... but book early.

5.00Good communication with with both Brano and Peter leading up to the tour date. Numbers swapped in case of any issues on the day. Punctual. Bikes were in great condition. The tour was perfectly suited for us - our lunch spot was really delicious too. Nothing was too much trouble - we didn’t feel rushed etc was a relaxed, and informative day. Would highly recommend - if we had more time we would have done another bike tour whilst there.

5.00Highly recommend this company! ‘Brian’ and Peter, the brothers who own Authentic Slovakia, and Martin, a new member of their company, are fun, energetic and knowledgeable. My friend and I did their private city bicycling tour and Devin Castle/communist ruins hiking tour. We saw a lot, learned about the complicated history and changing culture of Bratislava, Slovakia and the surrounding cities and countries, enjoyed the outdoors and got exercise. Their personal anecdotes and family stories added to our understanding of life under communism. As an added bonus, they provided ‘communist’ snacks - tasty soda and cookies brands/products that have been around since soviet era!

5.00My 24 yr old son and I did did the Brataslava identity bike trip with Bano and it was just fantastic. He was so pleasant and knowledgeable. Gave us some Soviet candy and Kafola to drink. Took us to Petržalka which was very interesting. Thank you for a great bike ride Tony and Jamie McHugh Ireland
