Step aboard Breakaway, a spacious 53-foot private yacht designed for comfort, flexibility, and an elevated day on the water. Unlike standard private boats with fixed itineraries, this experience is fully customizable. With the guidance of your captain, you choose where the day takes you based on weather, water conditions, and what your group wants most, whether that’s snorkeling, beach hopping, or cruising iconic Virgin Islands scenery.
Your day begins with a light breakfast as you settle in and get underway. Midday, we serve a fresh buffet lunch, followed by an open bar. Breakaway is fully U.S. Coast Guard inspected, allowing us to legally and comfortably accommodate more than 12 guests, unlike most “private” boats in the area. This makes it the ideal option for families, celebrations, and groups who want the privacy of a charter without sacrificing space or safety.

The experience is terrific! Remo and his team team are sensational. And such nice people!! They will do whatever it takes to make your tour superb. I will say that The Baths are very challenging to negotiate. You MUST be able to bend and maneuver through very tight spaces. The caves are spectacular but be prepared for slippery rocks and sand, very steep ladders, tight rock encounters. Leave slippery flip flops and sandals in the room. The Cathedral segment is spectacular and a great photo opportunity. I want you to do it (!) but if knees or back are considerations, let your family bring you photos. The hike done takes approx 30 mins; hike up takes at least 20 and you will stop at beautiful beaches along the way. Tell Remi he’s the best!

Perfect day with the family! They took care of all the paperwork for BVI and took us to some of the most beautiful places we have ever seen!

Because of Covid and covid testing, it seems no excursions are going from St. Thomas to BVI.... A shame Feb. 2021

We had an awesome afternoon at Hansen Bay. Thalia, the owner and operator, was super friendly and accommodating. We had adults and children and enjoyed swimming, SUPing, kayaking, and snorkeling - all at super reasonable rates. The drive across the island was gorgeous and worth it for the seclusion offered by the east end. We saw dolphin up close while snorkeling near Pelican Point. Ate lunch at Skinny Legs but next time will picnic at the tables available at Hansen Bay. Visiting here is a must-do for any St John vacation!

Amidst the real start of the Coronavirus pandemic we were fortunate enough to get to do this trip the last day before the BVI shut its borders. The trip was amazing and the Baths were magical. Due to aforementioned reasons the beaches and hiking trail there were almost empty making it even better to enjoy. Our guide and captain, Kate and Dave, were awesome. It was a really great day. I really hope this Coronavirus thing is over soon or the economies of all of the Caribbean islands will suffer massive damage. When able to do so, we highly recommend this excursion. Can’t beat the price for what you get to see and do.

Fantastic day - beautiful stops and a great crew that was very helpful and attentive. Wish we had a bit more time on Jost Van Dyke. Overall great day with 3 wonderful stops (as compared to other companies most only has 2 stops).

We have always wanted to go on this BVI adventure and waited until our son was a little older. What a beautiful day! Just be open to what happens - happens! You are in the Caribbean, and some parts of the adventure are just out of the crew's control. What the crew did control was amazing - especially taking our order for lunch before the hike to the baths and once our hike was over the food was headed our way at reserved tables - NICE!! The scenery was amazing!!! Love!

Captain Dave and his crew (Brett and Eduardo) showed us a great time on our all day trip to the BVI. The Baths were awesome, lunch at the Top of the Baths restaurant had an amazing view and great food, and our snorkel spot was fun and doable for a couple of amateurs. Best spot of the day was the beach with the Soggy Dollar beach bar- would definitely recommend this as a great way to see a lot and do a lot in one day!

I noticed the boat is old and the Bad Kitty boats ( the competition) departed after us but arrived before us and therefore got the best spots

I went on this day trip to the BVIs with the Breakaway crew five years ago and enjoyed it so much I decided to go again in March 2020. I wasn't disappointed! The crew (Captain Dave/Dan? and crew Brie and Cam?) were helpful and informative the whole day, keeping everyone up to speed on where we were going and what we were doing. The boat was pretty full but there was a place to sit for everyone without crowding. The tour of The Baths was informative and relaxex. I wasn't sure if The Baths would be changed by the storms in 2017 but they were as spectacular and interesting as ever. Lunch at the Top Of The Baths was great with a beautiful view of the water and open air seating in the shade. Snorkeling was better than I remember from the previous trip. The stop at Jost (White Bay) was a blast but went by way too fast. The only thing different about this trip was the requirement to wear an inflatable snorkel vest while snorkeling and while swimming into Jost. I don't normally wear a snorkel vest and found it annoying, distracting and ridiculous, especially for the max 20 feet of water to cover before touching bottom at Jost. I would recommend this trip to anyone staying on St. Thomas or St. John. It's a beautiful day on a boat and some amazing scenery, with enough time in between to enjoy getting to know the crew and passengers along the way.
