Step into the world of the Brontës on this very small-group day tour from York. Greg, your friendly and enthusiastic guide, will take you through the beautiful Yorkshire countryside to Brontë country. The first stop is at the location of Thorpe Green Hall where Anne was a Governess, then after a short comfort break we continue to Saltaire and the historic Salt Mills. Greg then takes us to attend the Brontë birthplace (entrance included) where Greg offers a personal and engaging tour at the family home where the famous siblings grew up. We then travel to Haworth, here enjoy two free hours to wander the cobbled streets, browse charming shops, enjoy a coffee, and visit the Brontë Parsonage Museum. The day concludes with a trip up Penistone Hill with sweeping views toward Top Withens. Entrance fees to the Brontë birthplace and Parsonage Museum are included, making for an engaging & memorable day. Gregs style is both informal but highly informative into the lives of these famous Sisters.

What To Expect
A brief stop at the Location of Thorp Green Hall where both Anne and Branwell worked for the Robinson family. Here we will stop close to the Holy Trinity Church where Anne attended each Sunday and also sketched. Greg your guide will explain the significance of this stop and the connection to the Family

5.00From the moment we left York, Greg began to tell us the story of the Bronte family. Stopping at various places along the way, including the birth place of Emily, Ann and Charlotte, we arrived at Haworth - a beautiful town with so much Bronte history. Here we visited the Parsonage museum and the many quaint shops along the high street. We had a pub lunch at The Old Sun Inn - great food and not as busy as tge town centre pubs. All together an excellent day out

5.00Great day out tour. Greg (our tour guide) is very knowledgeable about the areas en route to the destinations. The Brontë birthplace is lovely ( and you can actually stay in the original bedrooms). Onwards to Haworth which is atmospheric and will not have changed much since the sisters were in residence. Wonderful place to wander around with individual shops and eateries. (Make sure to visit The Cabinet of Curiosities for amazing candles, soaps & perfumes) All in all a full- on day with lots to see and do. The groups are small, so easy to ask questions. I’ve previously done the Whitby trip with All Tours Great and Small and can highly recommend.

5.00A great day out, Greg our guide made the whole experience very enjoyable with some great stories and interesting facts about the Brontë family. The highlight was Heworth itself, the cobbled streets and the parsonage museum were fantastic, so much history. Loved it.

5.00What an amazing day, Greg took us back in time to experience the life of the Brontë family, visiting their birth place, with lots of interesting stories about the sisters and their journey to fame. Haworth has stood still in time with all the original landmarks still standing. The parsonage museum was fabulous and Greg covered the cost for the entry fee. The curiosity shop sells lovely scented candles soaps etc.., a really wonderful experience for any Brontë enthusiasts. Highly recommend
