The concept sounded great by the description hence we booked it. Private driver - guide; local guide in Brugges, photo shoot every where. The reality was different. First, the driver was 1 hour late. We plan our days around the tour time and 1 hour list is a big deal. Explanation given to us was a traffic jam and the organizer asked us if we dont experience traffic jams in our country. Here is the message from the organizer: "Honestly, I don’t understand the frustration — don’t traffic jams happen where you live? This is something that happens in every country" Jams should have been taken into consideration while planning this trip. The driver guide is just a driver, not a guide (although he was great ; a very good person, but didn't know much about the places). The tour in Brugges was rush rush, although it ended 1 hour earlier than we were told. We didn't understand much due to the speed of the walking tour. We took a boat ride after the walking tour on our own where we learned a lot about Brugges we didn't learn in our private walking tour. The beer tasting and waffle tasting was just buying you one waffle and one beer of your choice. The 'photo shoot' was just your guide taking your pictures with your phone - somethings the private guides do in every tour we have taken in every place around the world. Overall, we feel we would have been better off and learned more exploring on our own or taken a different tour.

Our driver and guide in Bruges were great. Vehicle was clean. Only negative was that this was supposed to be a “private” tour. We had to wait in Bruges for another group to join us with the guide - so the tour was not private. We wanted to spend more time in Bruges, but we could not because we had to stay with the same group in Ghent. So it was not a private tour and not flexible as we had expected.

This was a fun, two city tour. It’s a full day so be ready to be on the move. We had a great tour of Bruce and then a boat tour of Gent. Both were excellent. Our tour guide J in Bruges was fun and very knowledgeable. He was a local. The travel between Brussels and the two cities was easy. The drivers were very excellent and the coordination with the tour operator and us was seamless.
