We booked this for the night we got into Budapest! We started out with around 10 people and our group was cut to around 4/5 by the end! Not because of they were attacked by vampires - but more by the cold Hungarian winter, ha. Just be mindful of the weather when you go and you'll have a great time. Zoltan was knowledgeable and energentic, combining tales of folklore and mythology with their real world inspiration and likely motives. My favorite kind of spooky tours are those that draw on history and real events, and, as you may know from Vlad the impaler, sometimes fact is indeed scarier than fiction. We covered a lot in this evening and it was a great time - highly recommend.

Our guide, Virag was very good. Very entertaining. Well informed and stayed in character throughout the tour. Would advise to wrap up warm, as tour is all outside and it gets v cold on those ramparts

A good experience overall. Cold evening but it is what it is. Would fully recommend this. Very steep climb. Brilliant view from the top.

The guide, Zsigmond was an excellent story teller. He kept us, the audience, entertained and engaged with his stories and explanations. However, we wished that there were more stories on vampires and spooky tales, like the tour name has suggested. The history part (70%) was interesting but the lack of vampire stories (only 30%) makes it draggy. Nevertheless, the whole walking tour was enjoyable.

Bernadette was an incredible (vampire) tour guide who knew exactly how to set the stage and present interesting facts while doing so. Not only did we learn a lot about some of the spookier parts of Budapest's past, such as Vlad Tepes or the folklore of older times, but she made sure to keep us all entertained, leading the way with her lantern and cloak throughout the city. Do note that as it's at night it can get quite cold in the winter months, so dress warmly to ensure it's not the only chill up your spine!

Wonderfully characterful storytelling tour amd experience around such a historic venue. Vampyric stories told, alongside tales of bloody wars and impalings. Our guide even demonstrated dances to ward off ghosts and spirits. Fantastic.

This is a great way to learn about a different side of Budapest history. Amazing storytelling that made the experience immersive, even for solo traveler! Manageable amount of walking and as the tour ends later at night, it was the prefect timing for pictures! If you are joining during the winter time, be sure to have enough layers because it gets cold as your hike up the castle.

Personally I felt very disappointed by a tour that took you up 967 steps to walk around various unexciting places, many being repaired thus resembling building sites. The group was far too big, 36 people who remained strangers to the end. The guide tried to be entertaining but he simply recited all the old vampire stories we have heard many times before. No atmosphere, a total waste of time, money and energy.

The experience is a little hilly to start with but so worth the views! Our tour guide, Virág, was so friendly and knowledgable. Her story telling and scene setting was brilliant and really set the mood for the whole tour. The stories that were shared were fascinating and she had loads of extra stories and information to share and finishing with a Hungarian folk song was incredible. I would highly recommend this tour to everyone.
