With this tour you can discover every part of the famous Buda Castle district, those parts as well, that the sightseeing tours provided by Danube cruise companies can not - due to the limited time available for sightseeing.
As an extra it also includes a guided visit to the Matthias church as well.
This tour is meant to be a relaxed pace walking tour, where there is always time for a slice of strudel and coffee, or to spend time admiring the views of the city.
---
Kindly note that the Castle bazaar is an all time favourite venue of the Hungarian government to host diplomatic events, in case of such we wont be able to cross the facility
Also should there be a concert, or wedding in the Matthias church the venue remains closed for the public.
---
Kindly note that the tour can be tailor made for you, excluding those parts covered by different sightseeing tours to make sure there are no overlaps. In that case we adjust our itinerary.

Amazing place, rich in history and with breathtaking views of the city. Easy route to reach the castle whose majesty is impressive.

Beautiful area, from which you can see a beautiful view of the Danube and the city, too bad for the great heat but the monuments, houses, the Church of St. Matthias and everything else, have transformed it into a fantastic environment.

We went with Estonian teachers who were amazed by all of the beautiful sights in Budapest. The guide was really skilful, kind and competent again, not mentioning how many interesting facts she could point out in a really gripping way.

We did the Must See Buddha Tour with White Umbrella. This tour is paid, on their WEBSITE it is worth 13 € but as we had done another with them we were reduced a little and paid 11 € per person. The tour was done by our guide Frank. Tour the neighborhood of Buda Castle and the areas of the imperial palaces next to the Fisherman's Bastion. The views from there are beautiful and Frank explains everything great, with lots of information and in a very pleasant way. Also when the tour ends it accompanies you to another corner where the panorama is very beautiful and there is not so much tourist. We were advised to take this tour in the afternoon as there are fewer people.

For years, Behind Budapest has been taking our conference participants on sightseeing tours, and it will continue to do so - we love the team, we always get lots of positive feedback from the participants! We warmly recommend them - for Hungarians as well!

Did a virtual tour of the Budapest castle area. Adam was great!! Friendly, cheerful, knowledgeable for an 8am tour (Hungarian sarcasm). Had great insight on the area and answered questions we had thoroughly. Really knew his stuff. We’ve decided that if we’re lucky enough to actually travel there, we’ll go on some of his tours. I feel like I actually was there walking with him. Thank you Adam!!

Adam was our guide for a fantastic 2 hours walking tour. It would have been good to listen to him for another 2 hours but our time was limited. He had great stories and he knows a lot of details and information about Budapest (and also about Tata). He was able to answer to all the questions to our Canadian relatives with perfect English. If you would like to have a kind and friendly guide with a great historical knowledge, i definitely recommend him to you!
