I would not go back here, first of all the VIP is a rip off, only good thing is that you got a locked room to yourself, one of the pools was closed, the larger pool was swim lanes only, and the other outside one was rammed, people sitting on the steps all around so it was a struggle to get in and out, the indoor pools, well they were dirty, the floors and steps leading into them were black, it really looked like it had not been cleaned for months, the smell was terrible all in the inside of the buildings. i get its old but at least clean the pools, very disappointed.

We booked the BeerSpa experience through the BeerSpa website and it included Skip the Line entry to the Baths and changing cabins that were ours for the whole day. The experience was pretty expensive in comparison to the other activities we did during our holiday but it was definitely one of our favourites. The BeerSpa was really easy to find and as soon as we arrived we were given a tour of the facilities which was really helpful as the baths are pretty large. We had to wait for the beer keg to be replaced quickly and the staff were really kind offering us a complimentary bottle of water while we waited. All the staff members were really lovely throughout the whole experience. The atmosphere was really peaceful and private. There are 4 wooden baths in each ‘room’ and the two of us had the room to ourselves for about half of the experience. Being able to pull our own beers was really fun and the experience is unlimited. We were also given pretzel-like salted sticks as a snack which was a nice addition. Overall would definitely recommend the experience especially best for couples or friends trips.

We had a blast in the BeerSpa at Szechenyi Baths. Its not cheap (approx £99 each via TA) but its such a unique experience on reflection we thought it was well worth it and we are still talking about it weeks after! Its very well organised and the team that manage the BeerSpa are so friendly and helpful. As you head in through main entrance of Szechenyi Baths head towards the reception desk to your left and you'll see the BeerSpa 'A' boards guiding you to the right place to check in. They have a clever wrist band system to enable you to lock all your belongings in private changing rooms and once your 45 minutes are up in the BeerSpa you then have free time to enjoy all the indoor & outdoor pool and steam/sauna rooms for as much time as you desire. We found all the facilities, especially the private changing booths to be spotlessly clean and well kept.

This is a more casual experience than other beer baths, but I liked how open and social the experience was. If you are looking for something more intimate and private this might not be the experience for you as I do believe going with a group adds to the way the experience is laid out.

I am 66 years old. Everything hurts sometimes. My knee hurts from running to make a connection to Budapest. My hips hurt. But after I sat in these magical hop beer infused thermal waters of a 2,000 old spa - nothing HURT! Plus terrific Hungarian beer on tap all you want as you soak and pretzels. It was just me - and I’d do it again in a heartbeat. Friendly helpful staff. Do not miss this unique experience .
