My girlfriend and I had an extra couple of days in Budapest and decided to schedule this food tour...Zoltan was fantastic. He was able to weave the significant culture of Budapest and its past history to current day, along with taking us through some intimate parts of the city for an incredible food journey. His delivery and humor was an unexpected delight and just made the entire tour that much more enjoyable. Thank you, Zoltan, for an awesome experience.

Very informative & educational - Good guide, but wouldn't recommend the drinks package as not much time to drink, except on the last stop.

Kitty was our guide and made for a wonderful experience. Each spot was hospitable and very inviting. The food options were plentiful and well prepared. I would recommend this tour as a first stop as Kitty has many cultural recommendations that will enhance your trip.

Had a wonderful time on this food tour. We stopped at four locations and got to try a handful of different foods. The pacing felt right (not too fast or slow), and the tour also walked past several architectural landmarks as well. Zoltan, our tour guide, was extremely friendly (and also very funny). He was kind enough to provide many recommendations outside the tour itself — above and beyond expectations.

On our first night in Budapest, we went out for a dinner at a restaurant with high Google rating. The food was good, but not great. On day two, we took this tour and oh what an amazing difference it made. We tasted real Hungarian food and drink from authentic Hungarian restaurants. It was a night and day difference. Our guide also shared much of the history of Hungary, which put everything in perspective. Great tour. Highly recommend.

The Secret Budapest Food Tour with Kitty was an absolute delight from start to finish. Kitty's passion for Hungarian cuisine and culture truly shines through, making every stop flavorful and fascinating. We tasted authentic dishes that we never would’ve found on our own, from savory street snacks to decadent desserts. Each bite came with stories and history that brought Budapest’s food scene to life. Kitty’s warm personality and insider tips made the tour feel like a fun outing with a local friend. Highly recommend this tour for anyone wanting to eat, explore, and fall in love with Budapest’s hidden culinary gems!

We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived at our meeting spot to discover we were the only two booked today! So we had a VIP food and history tour from Zoltan. He was great!

We want to thank Zoltan, our great teacher on the "secret food tour". Apologies this post is 6 months overdue but we still speak fondly of the fun we had, so we simply must write this review. Delicious local food as we walked the side streets and heard about history and culture. Zoltan has a deep knowledge of Hungary and this really enriched the experience. One spoiler - the Langos was the best. "Finom!" We highly recommend this tour.
