You’ll pass by some of the city’s most iconic landmarks, such as the Hungarian Parliament Building, Buda Castle, Fisherman’s Bastion, and Matthias Church.

1.00If sightseeing you're after, walking or riding on the river bank is as good. If you want to drink - sit at a bar, there are plenty on the pest side of the Danube, south of the chain bridge with much better vibe (contrary to people shoving each other to get closer to the windows). If you want to learn about the history, every audio guide will give you the same experience, for free.
Very nice ride; perhaps too many audio guides.

5.00Purple line offers a very solid river cruise. It’s run efficiently, and you get to see all the major spots between the main bridges. My only quarrel is that it’s kind of loud. They encourage you to download an audio guide with lots of historical detail, but there is also a live tour guide giving info, too. The live guide has less detail but more personality and humor. It’s not possible to listen to both, and unless you go out on the back deck, you will hear the live guide over the public address system. One audio guide or the other is enough. I suppose that’s a quibble. It’s a lovely tour.

3.00Nothing special. Basically, the boat kept circling the same section of the river. I expected a much longer route. And when the time was up, we didn't even find ourselves in front of the illuminated Parliament, which is what we bought the tickets for. So the photos we took were not the best. Too many people on the boat, very little comfort. Needs improvement.

2.00They cram a bunch of people on this tiny boat. Only a small portion actually get a view of anything. Only a small portion of the boat had a top deck. Everyone was squished and crammed. Didn’t have a view of anything. Highly regret paying for this experience on purple liner boats.

5.00We were there early in the evening so only about 10 people total were on the tour. I guess the best time to take the cruise is near sundown when the light is at it best. It still was a interesting tour.
