Start your journey by savoring the city’s delicious cuisine — from the iconic plov to tender shashlik and delicate manti, each bite is a taste of history. Enjoy freshly baked flatbread and sip on fragrant green tea in local eateries that have preserved authentic recipes for generations.

Bukhara remains one of our top favourite cities in Uzbekistan. During our three-hour walking tour, our amazing guide Yulduz made sure we truly understood the rich culture and history of this beautiful, historic city. We're excited to return to Bukhara in 2026 and have made a special request to have her as our guide again!

I had a wonderful experience doing my tour of Bukhara with Yulduz. I would highly recommend this for anyone that wants to see the major sites of Bukhara efficiently within a day. She was flexible with the pace of the tour. For example, I was given some time to grab lunch at the start of our tour, which was nice because I missed lunch. She let me choose if I wanted to go into the palace museum or not. The weather was also pretty hot but we moved at a good pace with stops for water along the way. She spoke perfect English and was very knowledgeable about every site we visited. She was ready for just about every question I had, including a very niche question I had about the meaning of storks in Uzbek culture vs in the West. You definitely won't have problems with communication.
