Stepping into the lush rainforest of Bukit Lawang, we were immediately swept into nature’s embrace. Orangutans swung gracefully above us, their fiery fur glowing against the green canopy. Along the trail, we spotted playful monkeys, colorful hornbills, and heard the haunting songs of gibbons echoing through the trees. A jungle feast awaited us by a riverbank — sweet watermelon, juicy passion fruits, and fresh citrus laid out on banana leaves.
