Today is the big day! Prepare yourself for an encounter with the gentle giants; the rare mountain gorillas. For most people, this is the absolute highlight of their tour. You will go into the forest in groups of not more than 8 in search of mountain gorillas. En route, your guide will point out previous signs of gorilla activity such as dung, nests, and chewed bamboo shoots. Your trek will be an exciting journey along forested slopes, entwined vines, bushes, and bamboo. Upon finding the gorillas, you will spend a maximum of 1 hour with them after which you will be led back to the starting point.

Wow where do I begin. What an experience!!! Geoffrey was the absolute best and made our experience so much. He treated us like his family, went out of his way to ensure our trip was everything we hoped it would be and more. The accommodation was perfect. The Gorillas were amazing and the whole experience was beyond words. I can't recommend Primate World Safaris enough. 10/10 thanks to Geoffrey.

Incredible experience to be in a group of 9 with guides making a path through the brush to find a gorilla family. The gorillas are habituated to humans so we enjoyed an adventurous hike to spend an hour with our gorilla family. I felt like Indiana Jones meets Dian Fossey. Great guide Gorrith led the way. Our porter Lauren, a tiny but powerful African woman, helped me through the steep areas. A once in lifetime experience!!

Very professional service that provided everything we needed! They make you feel very safe and comfortable so you don’t have to worry about anything. Our driver was great and got us everywhere on time. The drive to Bwindi forest from the airport took about 10 hours and the car is very roomy and comfortable allowing you to rest. If you want a stress free experience, book with them.
