What To Expect
Belfast City Region
You will see the wall art of west Belfast murals the peace wall and some memorial gardens
Shankill Road
Your Belfast Murals Tour begins in the Shankill Road area of Belfast which is (Protestant/British), where your Black Taxi Cab driver will explain a detailed history of the area. We begin in 1690, when William of orange arrived in Ireland to defeat King James the 2nd at the famous Battle Of The Boyne. There will then be an explanation about the recent troubles, which started in 1969 and ended when the peace agreement was signed in 1998. You will go for a short walk around the area, where your black taxi cab driver will explain the loyalist murals Belfast has in the area and what they represent. You will have the opportunity to take your own photographs of the Belfast murals.

5.00We used Get Your Guide to book a Black cab tour the booking system was great and the can was waiting ahead of time when we arrived at the pick up point. The next hour with our drive Ciaran was informative interesting and insightful. He was so knowledgeable and open about what had happened and how things are. This is probably one of the best tours I have ever been on. His cab was very clean and well maintained 6 seater . If you are in Belfast you must do this . We did Crumlin Riad Gaol and the Titanic experience which were also very good but the cab tour was another level . It felt very real and brought home to us the issues the city has faced through the troubles .

5.00I recently did a Belfast taxi tour, and it was an unbelievable experience from start to finish. Even though I’m from Belfast, I got to see places I had never seen before and learned so much more about the city and its history. The tour gave me a completely new perspective on Belfast and helped me understand the stories behind so many of its landmarks and areas. Our guide was knowledgeable, engaging, and brought the history of the city to life in a really memorable way. It was both eye-opening and enjoyable, and I came away with an even greater appreciation for Belfast. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the city, and even to locals who think they already know Belfast well. It was a fantastic experience. 10/10
