We loved our guide Diana and our driver Marcelo was excellent. For our first full day in Quito, we booked this Ecuador’s Best Tour of the city. We live at sea level in Seattle and wanted to take it easy due to Quito’s high elevation. We were also concerned about safety in an unfamiliar city after a couple of days of exhausting travel. So we appreciated the guide and driver very much. We enjoyed every stop on our tour. Diana walked with us every step of the way, patiently answered all of our questions and helped us understand the culture of Ecuador. Later, after we got back from the Galapagos, we learned that some of the group members had gone exploring on their own and were robbed of expensive items in Old Quito, so I was especially appreciative of the excellent guidance of Diana and Marcelo. I never felt unsafe, and Quito has a better police presence than Seattle, including touristic police, but as a stranger in a new city, we can be at a disadvantage on our own, even though we use money belts and phone lanyards when traveling.

It was a great view, but the trail, after the cable car was quite challenging to make it to the top of the mountainside which is at over 9,000 feet

Prompt hotel pick up with itinerary including teleferico and El Panecillo providing value to what is otherwise a short City centre walking tour. Good explanations about the city and its development. Can be cool at the top of the cable car ride. Bring your own water - none was offered.

My mom and I spent a nice day around Quito with our guide, Luis. We began at the Teleferico since the skies were clear enough, then went down to Old Town. We walked around and saw la Plaza Grande, stepped into the cultural center and some cathedrals, and had empanadas for lunch. We ended the day by going up to the Panecillo. Luis was very knowledgeable and patient with us. Thank you for making our first day in Ecuador a good one!

Diana was a kind and friendly guide. We enjoyed almost all aspects of it!! I deducted a star for 2 reasons. 1: after the first church she stopped a local street vendor and encouraged us to buy. Hard pass on that…I don’t like any part of that and we declined. 2: the tour company didn’t provide any contact information to us. We waited until 1.5 hours before the scheduled tour and still did not receive anything so reached out asking for the name of the guide and the vehicle we were looking for…at 5 minutes until pick up he responded with the info. Yes it all worked out but so many companies provide intentional communication at least 12 hours out that it was notable that we heard absolutely nothing. Honestly we were worried about a no-show.

Diana was a grest guide & we had a good van & driver. Booked just the day before, they arrived promptly. We all decided not to do the gondola ride as there was low cloud & little visibility. We started at the Virgin of Quito., with good views, explored the old city with its beautiful churches & buildings. Diana taught us much of Quito's indigenous & Spanish & post independence history & picked a good restaurant for lunch We finished with fun at the Mitad del Mundo - museum of indigenous history on Latitude 0000

Our tour guide Ivan created a wonderful experience for our family on short notice. Our father, age 96, and my sister and I had an amazing time touring the city and learning about the history as well as current cultural events. Ivan shared facts within entertaining stories so we were engaged and informed. He took us for a chocolate tasting which was delicious. And he offered to go back fornthe car adding time to his day because my dad really couldn’t walk back. Ivan was attentive and caring. He truly made our day
