Cajon del Maipo
A few kilometers from Santiago, Cajón del Maipo is a mountain canyon surrounded by hills, massifs and cliffs with important rivers, which gives us a variety of unforgettable landscapes. attractions throughout the year, it is an excellent place both to enjoy nature and to practice different sports. In winter the snowy mountain range offers beautiful postcard views and centers for white sports such as skiing and in summer relaxing in its campsites and cabins. In both seasons it is possible to go trekking, hiking and horseback riding in search of spotting condors and peucos. Its main town is San José de Maipo, capital of the commune, which is the ideal place to start getting to know the area, in the midst of colorful architecture, the visitor will find a whole series of services to enjoy the area. However, other areas with great tourist attractions also stand out, such as El Yeso, El Colorado, San Gabriel, El Manzano, among others.

5.00A brilliant day visiting Cajon del Maipo and El Yeso Reservoir. Our guide Marco was great, he kept us all well informed and created a really fun atmosphere. Definitely worth the early start to enjoy some beautiful views! The Casa de Chocolate was also a lovely treat, and the great picnic spread was very tasty. All in all, a great day, I'd definitely recommend!

4.00I would like to highlight the excellent work of coordinator Paula and driver Marcelo; their attention and the course's development were impeccable. Excellent tour. However, I consider it urgent that the agency review the place where they make the first stop for breakfast (service that is not included). It is a pity that such a beautiful experience is marred by such a low quality restaurant. The food is neither fresh nor rich, and the prices do not match what they serve. It is generally a 'tourist trap' that leaves a bad first impression of the tour. El Cajon del Maipo has much better options; I do not recommend this place at all.
