Snorkeling is the easiest way to experience the reef or try an introductory dive, no experience required. For the advanced divers, certified diving is available. Diving within 48 hours of flying is not recommended. All participants will be required to complete a health questionnaire prior to diving. Some pre-existing medical conditions (eg asthma, heart conditions, etc) may prevent you from diving, please consult your doctor
Additional dives may be booked and paid for on board (subject to availability). Maximum of three dives in a day.
Children under the age of 12 years are not permitted to dive.
Evidence of dive certification is required from all divers wishing to participate in a certified dive
Children must be accompanied by an adult
If its raining on your day of travel, the tour will still go ahead. If Calypso cancels due to poor weather, mainly high winds, you will be given the option of an alternative date or full refund
Cancellation fees may apply if less than 24 hours notice is given prior to departure
What To Expect
Experience the outer Great Barrier Reef by immersing yourself amongst the coral and marine life with snorkelling or introductory / certified scuba diving. During the day you will visit 3 spectacular sites on the Great Barrier Reef to see the diversity of this natural wonder. Cruise & 1 intro dive. No experience required. All snorkel/dive equipment, morning tea, lunch & afternoon tea included. Minimum age for diving is 12 yrs
Cruise & Snorkelling Only

5.00Absolutely fantastic day out on the water! The crew worked tirelessly to ensure the safety & comfort of all onboard while under motor & while in the water. The Barrier was absolutely stunning to see in person, highlights of the day were seeing a reef shark beneath us & the hot Milo after our last swim to warm up. Outstanding team!

5.00It's a lovely day out on the water. Make sure to get your coffee or tea before the boat leaves the dock then sit back and relax, it's a bit of a ride to the first stop. Lunch was great, simple but hardy. My only pick is that during the 3rd swim the guy who was supposed to be watching the snorkelers on the upper deck was on his phone. Thankfully, there were others watching as well.

5.00Fantastic day. We went to Opal Reef, and had an hour at each of three seperate locations. They were progressively better, all great but the third mind-blowing. The crew were super nice and professional. A very decent lunch was provided. 12/10!

5.00The staff was amazing, attentive, and focused on safety and fun. A+ The snorkeling was also outstanding. Lunch, drinks, cookies on board delightful. Loved it. Weather wasn't good, bit no one can affect that. Memorable experience and would recommend this cruise and boat.

3.00The trip was a little bit underwhelming for an experienced snorkeler. The problem with the tour was they tried to combine first time, scuba divers with snorkelers, and they only stayed on one reef, which was the opal reef- when I thought we were going to another larger reef never saw any turtles or Rays, the Coral was beautiful but to do it two times and two different places on athe same reef just so we could accommodate depth for-the scuba divers, the snorkeler got to see basically the same thing they saw on the first part of Opal reeff Probably should have booked out of Cairns.
