Al Samriya Estate is a multi-part attraction combining cultural, nature & leisure components. Key components: The Leaning Mosque & Minaret Located at the Sheikh Faisal bin Qassim Al Thani Museum (FBQ), in Al Samriya Estate, Al Shahaniya. Also referred to as the Leaning Mosque of Doha. It’s intentionally designed to lean — not a structural accident. The leaning is part of its artistic / architectural concept. It blends traditional Islamic motifs (mosque shape, minaret, dome, coloured glass) with modern engineering and innovation (sensor systems, safety design) to make something unique. Sheikh Faisal Bin Qassim Al Thani Museum (FBQ Museum) — a private museum located in a fort-style building, housing a huge artifact collection (Additional fee) Al Samriya Riding School / Equestrian Center — horse-riding lessons, trail rides, facilities to see/touch horses. Oryx Reserve / Animal Reserve — Arabian oryxes, ostriches, peacocks, gazelles etc in an open reserve setting.
Al Shahaniya Racetrack
Al Shahaniya Camel Racetrack is the main place for camel racing in Qatar. At Al Shahaniya, you can: Watch racing events (often with robot jockeys) during the racing season. You can also visit the camel stables. Drive alongside the track in your car during races, following the course. On non-race days: see camels in training in the morning or other scheduled practice sessions. Robot jockeys are used instead of human jockeys. They are lightweight, remotely controlled devices. Crowds and spectators: there are grandstands but many people follow the race by car along a road parallel to the track. It’s part of the experience. Visiting when no race: you can still see training, see camels being handled, stabled, groomed.

It was a lot of fun. They made the tour comfortable in the large car. They answered our request and it was a great stay in Doha. It was a same-day reservation, but the message was smooth. The driver and the guide were very nice, thank you!

M Jan was an excellent driver! He took us to the camel races and was a very skilled driver. He raced along side the camels getting us great views, and then took us to the finish line to get a different view. After following another race we went to the starting line and got some great pictures. He also took us to a museum which was amazing. I cannot recommend M Jan enough! Best tour guide and driver I have ever had!

Kudos once again to the QIT team for their exceptional service! Starting with smooth assistance from Same, they truly set the tone for a memorable trip. A special shoutout to M. Jaan, who went above and beyond as an incredible tour guide and driver. He arrived on time, shared personalized information, and ensured every moment was comfortable and enjoyable. I can’t thank the QIT team enough for making my first camel race an unforgettable experience. If you’re looking for a top-notch tour company in Qatar, QIT should definitely be your first choice. Once again, thank you so much!

My family ended up taking a tour with QIT because Viator made a mistake and forgot about us. QIT was able to contact Ibrahim Bangash, who guided us to the race track. We got a good look at the stables and track due to his personal contacts, so the tour turned out very well. We lost about an hour of the tour due to the mistake by Viator, so we never made it to the museum, but our main focus was on the camel track anyway, so that was not a problem. Ibrahim did a good job with his last-minute assignment!

Viator is ordinarily great, but they really let us down on this one. I arranged for the tour months in advance and got confirmation of payment a few days before the trip, but no one ever showed up or made contact. I had to make a long distance phone call to sort it out. The company said we were overlooked because there were so many cruise passengers in that day. What kind of excuse is that? Anyway, Viator had to contact another tour company to get us someone last minute. They woke him up out of bed, actually. We had lost about an hour and 15 minutes by the time he arrived. Then there was massive confusion about the nature of the tour, but our guide — Ibrahim Bangash — got it sorted out due to his personal contacts and the tour ended up quite well. We didn’t make it to the museum due to the loss of time, but that was ok because our focus was on the camels and racetrack anyway. So the tour turned out alright due to Qatar International Tour of Doha.

Our family took a half day tour of the camel racetrack and the Sheikh Faisal Museum as well as horse stables. We took the tour through Qatar International Tours and it was a great morning of seeing the sites. Our guide was patient with me as I asked a lot of questions. Would definitely recommend this tour company and the experience.
