Superb gentle trip down the river with our guide Cesar. Saw loads of wildlife including four groups of howler monkeys, many birds and even a young crocodile.

This was our first river tour and it was amazing. We got picked up right on time from our hotel and proceeded to the river. Our tour guide was very knowledgable and shared with us his love of the country. Before we go to the river he pulled over and got out his tripod and scope an showed us our first sloth. That was incredible. I don't know how he saw that from the van. We had a great trip down the river seeing lots of animals and the we came back to Don Ablelino and Dona Wendy for a traditional lunch that was great.

Our guide Bernando was very friendly, had alot of good stories to share and was very considerate of us. We had a great drive out of town and arrived at Wendy's house where we had a chance to freshen up with a drink, snack, and play with the puppy before we headed down to the river. On the river we saw just an amazing assortment of wildlife and flora. Iguanas, lizards, birds, monkeys (howler and white face), crocodiles and caymen, bats, and the list goes on. It was a great trip. The boat was safe and it never felt intrusive. We went on many different parts of the river - sometimes wide open and other times narrow and winding. Back at Wendy's we had a great lunch prepared fresh and a drive back to our hotel.

We had a fantastic time riding in a boat on the river here in Costa Rica. Our guide was beyond knowledgeable of the wildlife and birds! We saw two sloth, three crocodiles, monkeys (including a baby monkey that had just been born that day), iguanas galore, a green lizard, and a variety of birds and even bats!

This was such a great experience. Our driver Christian brought us directly here after a great white water rafting experience. Rigo was our coffee tour guide and did an amazing job walking us through the beautiful grounds and explaining the process of making coffee. Our children were able to make cane sugar and help roast as well grind the coffee beans. We concluded with a delicious snack and cup of coffee. Would highly recommend this!

We booked this last minute, and even booked the wrong date via Viator, but the team at Jacamar was super helpful about rescheduling even over Christmas! Andres was an excellent tour guide, and knew everything about the entire farm, and we were able to literally pick star fruit from the tree and eat them, and help with actual coffee roasting, then taste the coffee and some snacks that were made from all the fresh things they were growing right there! Ask Andres where the best sangria in La Fortuna is, too!

This tour was AWESOME! The guide was very knowledgeable about everything that had to do with coffee, from its history to the roasting process and all the other fruits and herbs grown on the plantation. Learned a lot about the land it's its history growing coffee and had one of the best homemade meals afterwards! I would go back for the food alone is was very delicious.
