Discover the beauty of paddling on the Elbe river in combination with a relaxing return by bike along the Elbe Cycle Route. The cycling trail follows the river without any hills, so even children will enjoy the trip. The river is calm without any weirs and therefore suitable for beginners. We are bringing you to our most popular tour distance from Decin to Schmilka. The tour lenght is 15 km each way and takes around 5 hrs.
We will take care of the transport of boats and bicycles and you can enjoy your hassle free day.

What To Expect
Your tour starts at Camp Děčín, where we will hand you a canoe or a kayak, paddle, and a dry bag. There will be a short briefing on-site. From now on you´ll start the tour unguided, at your own pace independently from other travelers. The trip is a 15 km long pleasant paddling tour and you can reach neighboring Germany in 3 hours. During the tour, you will be amazed by the fabulous Bohemian Switzerland National Park from the water surface in the deepest sandstone canyon in Europe. The handover point for bikes is located on the right river bank of the picturesque village of Schmilka, directly at the ferry station. There you can visit a local microbrewery or cafe with breathtaking views. After you reach the handover point at the ferry on the right bank, we will take the boat from you and give you the bikes. Then you will get to the left bank of the Elbe Cycle Route by ferry. Don't forget the 2 € in cash/per person (including the bike)! If you want to visit the nearby spa town of Bad Schandau, you can also use the cycle path on the right bank. The bikes must be returned by 6 pm at the Kemp Decin reception. We charge 300 CZK for late returns.

5.00Fantastic staff, accommodating our needs. Easy river excursion and very comfortable bike ride back. The only downside is the ferry to cross the river at Schmilka, the price of which is unclear. We had expected a certain price, but it was actually more. Overall, a positive experience and highly recommended.

5.00We enjoyed canoeing up the river to schmilka in Germany and biking back. The staff were friendly and spoke some English and the equipment was all good. My only slight criticism was it wasn't clear that we were waiting for a trailer to arrive with bikes in schmilka. We were expecting a shop or fixed point to go to but we made a phone call and were told they were coming and just had a drink in the cafe while waiting and it was worth a little walk up to the little brewery and bakery.

5.00The tour was a great. We enjoyed the lovely scenery from two perspectives and it was a sporty but still relaxing experience. Especially the service was great, when we missed the dropout in Schmilka at first, it was handled very friendly and helpful and we even got an extra bottle of water for the dog! Thanks for the memorable day!
