  What a wonderful trip. Marine was so knowledgeable and kept us entertained all day. The villages we visited were beautiful and the house that Gaudi designed was such a treat to see. The typical meal of bean stew was a revelation - we thought it was delicious. A simply fabulous day - thank you Marina , you went out of your way to give us a day to remember.

  This is a real treat for anyone who enjoys Gaudí’s architecture. It is a remarkable experience to visit el Capricho, one of his few projects outside of Catalonia. Our guide, Marina, also took us to other small towns in Cantabria and made us feel like we were experiencing these beautiful sights as a local.   If you are in the Bilbao area, make sure to book this tour!!! This tour was such a pleasant surprise and ended up being one of our favorite times in the Basque Country. Make sure to have your phone fully charged as each stop is picture worthy! Bring a healthy appetite with you too as they will have you sample some of the local favorites like the apple cider, fresh milk, quesadas, etc. Jon was amazing and very knowledgeable. He has shared SO MANY wonderful trivia, not only with the places in Cantabria that we visited, but also with the Basque Country in general.   Beautiful day touring with Jon our driver and tour guide. Basque county is an exceptionally beautiful, historic region. We loved the villages, especially the Gaudi in Cantabria. This tour is a great way to experience the countryside and smaller villages around Bilbao and San Sebastián

  The tour of the Small Villages of Cantabria was spectacular! Irene is knowledgeable, professional, and personable and her enthusiasm for the area was totally understandable once we stepped into each of the three very different villages. Irene was kind enough to personalize the experience by adding in a stop at the beautiful Comillas cemetery which has artistic details we wanted to see. We can’t say enough good things about Northern Spain Gastronomy!

  An unforgettable experience, Irene made my birthday a day I will not forget. His knowledge of any information in the area made the tour an unrivalled learning. The places we visited, the food we tasted, and the warmth and kindness of his person, made our Sunday a day never to forget.   My best friend and I had the pleasure of meeting Irene and David who were just wonderful tour guides. We had the most traditional Spanish food and wine where they took us to restaurants/bars that specialise in a particular food whether it was sardines, calamares etc. Irene has an incredible knowledge of wine and the food! We had the most amazing and unforgettable time with them. They went above and beyond and invited us to a local festival nearby where we listened to a range of Spanish music from old to new which brought back memories of my childhood. I cannot thank them enough for the experience they brought us! Forever in my heart.

  My friend Clarissa and I went on the most fantastic tour of Castro Urdiales with Irene. We were pleasantly surprised when she invited her partner David to join us as we were a small private tour, and we were happy to have the extra company 😊 This tour was without a doubt one of the most enjoyable and memorable parts of our trip through Northern Spain. We got to experience some absolutely amazing and authentic food and wine and be fully immersed in the Castro culture. The food highlights for myself were the Sardines and Bonito, absolutely to die for! Walking through the town and lively streets full of locals was also fantastic. Irene and David were both incredibly warm and welcoming and had a wide breadth of knowledge about the history of the food and culture of Castro. Following the tour, Irene and David were kind enough to invite us to a local fiesta that they were going to attend. They drove us there and went to the trouble of introducing us to some friends and we had the time of our lives! I would without a doubt, go on another tour with Irene and David and would 100% recommend the Northern Spain Gastronomy tours if you ever find yourself in the area!
