I had my first canyoning experience with Madeira Climbing Center, and we all know how important first experiences all are. José and Peter took care to make it memorable. Very friendly and patient, they both explained clearly what we (a group of 6) were about to do. Their technical acquaintances together with their sense of humor made us relax and fully enjoy our last day in Madeira. During canyoning José and Peter also took care of our energy reserves providing cookies, water and dry poncho. Best well spent money, highly recommend if you visit Madeira.🙂

Highly recommend. The tour guides were amazing, reassuring, professional, and knew how to have a good laugh. They explained everything in detail so that you feel like a natural and immediately feel at ease. They provide a changing mat and dry robes so you can get changed comfortably. The wetsuits fitted perfectly and you even get waterproof shoes. The equipment is good quality and your safety is always put first. The water was refreshing and gives you a kick of adrenaline, it wasn’t too cold at all. The guides took photos and videos throughout the canyon and sent them to us, included in the pricing. At the end of the canyon we walked back to the car, which was a short walk, and were greeted by a cup of tea and biscuits. The guides were very experienced and I’d highly recommend booking canyoning through this company over any others! Don’t second guess it and book, you won’t regret it!!

Booked the canyoning tour with a couple of friends, and I recommend it greatly! It was the first time any of us tried canyoning, and José and the team were very supportive in every step - between helping us choose the best location for the tour, and explaining all the equipment, safety measures and overall information about the experience. We arrived at Ribeiro Frio pretty early and made our way down the canyon with the help of the always cheerful team. They made sure to check how we were doing every step of the way, and were considerate to show us alternative routes in case we would prefer not to do any of the jumps into the water. The mid-tour snack with warm tea was great to warm us up! All in all, the mood was great, we ended up having a lot of fun, surrounded with great views - highly recommended! Also: Make sure to visit the Madeira Climbing Center gym in Funchal, great atmosphere with very friendly staff. Boulders for all experience levels, that are re-set every week, so always something new to do!

I had booked a half day climbing trip with MCC and it was such a great experience. José made the day for our group just perfect ;-) He helped a lot to teach the right climbing technique and we also went with a small group for an intermediate level Canyoning in Ribeiro Frio. This was a fantastic experience as well. They were two guides for only five guests, everything was always very safe and went well. Great adventure. Additionally we went out for climbing another day to a different climbing spot on the island. Really enjoyed it so much. I can highly recommend this company for outdoor activities. Everything is very professional and the equipment is in a really good condition.

We had an amazing adventures! Canyoning thru de cold and beautiful river frio. De guides are very experienced, they provide al the equipment some snacks and work very safely. they also now a lot about the local nature. Best recommend for guidance for canyoning and climbing!

Jose and Pedro thank you for this fantastic experience. Great to rappel with our family from waterfalls and let ourselves be carried away by the water. Preparation, equipment, coaching, really everything arranged tip top. Magical places, literally alone in the fairytale forests of Madeira!

That was a very fun and encouraging experience. It was my first time doing canyoning and Jose made sure we had all safety needed and explained some tips. The views were also amazing. It is definitely an activity I would recommend and woul repeat!
