This was truly the trip of a lifetime largely due to the superb coordination by Quinton and Abby of Africa Explore Safaris! Everything was meticulously handled at an exceptional level. Our group spent time in Cape Town and the surrounding area including the Cape Winelands, then traveled to the Sabi Sand Private Reserve near Kruger, followed by Livingstone, Zambia for Victoria Falls and the Zambezi River, and then on to Chobe River estuary in Kasane, Botswana before returning to Cape Town for our departure. Africa Explore Safaris made everything seamless. The accommodations, wine tastings, dining, coastal tours, guided wildlife safaris and river outings, multi-country flights and shuttle transfers were exceptional and perfectly planned and executed. When members of our group requested additional outings to museums and the delightful Cape Town College of Magic, Quinton turned on a dime and made them happen without compromising the existing itinerary. So many wonderful memories from this adventure - I will definitely be returning to Africa and booking my excursions with Africa Explorer Safaris!

I was traveling to Cape Town from Los Angeles and I wanted to go on a Game Drive. There aren't many great ones within the Cape Town Area and was recommended to the Sanbona Wildlife Reserve. I organized my 2-night visit through Quinton and his wife Abby. And being a solo female traveler, there are a lot of hesitations I had on my end with regard to safety but through a lot of clear communication and text messages, I felt like I was safe. Quinton picked me up at my Cape Town hotel and the two of us drove 4 hours to the Sanbona Wildlife Reserve where the staff from Sanbona took me to my accommodations. From there, I went on my game drives with the Sanbona Wildlife Reserve guides! The cost is ALL inclusive - ride from Cape Town to Sanbona, accommodations in Sanbona, 3 great meals a day at Sanbona, and each game drive. When picking between Krueger and Sanbona I was hesitant to go with Sanbona because not many people know of the reserve - but I’m so glad I decided to go with Sanbona. I love how people on the Sanbona Reserve really care about the plant life and animal life, and their values of conservation and care for the animals above all else. They don’t allow more than 1 or 2 cars per animal sighting, but they give equal time to each car to sit and view the animals once spotted. Because they have less animals than Krueger I was nervous if I would see anything on my first ride. And 15 min in, we saw a couple of giraffes “necking” by a pack of elephants! They were so close together that one elephant even charged at them to move away. For this sight, only one other car was present. It wasn’t crowded at all and we all had a great view (15-20 feet away). We also saw white rhino and buffalo on our first trip and it was only 3 hours! Then the next day we saw the white lions and they were extremely close - maybe 50 feet away and clear to see with your eyes. Also, the rooms were fantastic! So clean with amazing views and a great bathtub that overlooked the patio. I stayed in Gwondana alone and had a beautiful king bedroom that overlooked a pond where a group of antelope were taking a drink. At the end of my visit at Sonbona, Quinton picked me up and we had another 3-4-hour drive back to Cape Town so I opted to do a wine tour! I had no idea Cape Town was like a Napa and great for grape harvesting. It was super lovely and Quinton is super knowledgeable of South Africa an it's history and landscape. Will definitely recommend his services again!

WOW. Just…. WOW!! I recently visited Cape Town with a group of extraordinary women from across the globe. Our group was blessed enough to have Quinton and Abby as our official “tour guides” and I was in awe! From their availability to shuttle us to and from the airport to the impeccable organization of excursions, safaris, extracurricular activities, and restaurant recommendations?! It was PERFECT! I can honestly say this trip was one of the best experiences of my life. I am so grateful to Dalijah for facilitating and planning with Africa Explore Safaris, to create such an amazing trip! I am forever appreciative and I will definitely visit Cape Town again! Thank you, thank you, thank you, Quinton and Abby for your hospitality, kindness, and guidance!! I’m forever grateful 💖
