Conditions are horrible and customer service is nonexistent. Don’t waste your time or money!

We had planned this trip to commemorate my friend's 50th birthday, an occasion that warranted a memorable celebration. However, our experience was significantly marred by Suliana R., our assigned sales executive, whose behavior was unprofessional. Her communication style and tone were consistently dismissive, rude, and disrespectful. This attitude made us feel like we were an inconvenience rather than valued clients celebrating a milestone. There was a notable lack of warmth, accountability, and genuine interest in our satisfaction. Undoubtedly, this ranked as one of the poorest customer service experiences I've had, especially given the significance of the event we were celebrating. The behavior exhibited was inexcusable and fell short of expected standards. The condition of the boat was also far from satisfactory, with evident neglect in cleanliness and maintenance leading to unsanitary conditions. Such neglect was particularly surprising given the premium experience we were promised.

This was an awesome fun day. The staff was great, attentive and knowledgable. It was well worth the money and time. We did scuba and snorkel and glass bottom boat. There were several other activities. Great for families as well. This was better than the advertisement. From the time we took and arrived back we were very entertained. Bit crowded or “commercialized “. Just a great beautiful day!

My husband and I booked this through Viator and we both felt this experience gave us one of the best days of our lives. No issues with pick up from our hotel lobby, we got there 5min before pick up time (which was communicated clearly through the Viator app). Our tour guide explained the itinerary and what to expect for check in at the harbor during our ride there. The boat ride there was loaded with entertainment: kava ceremony, live music and morning tea with light snacks. Open bar is only available on the island and was limited to (cheap wine) and beer- which we didn’t mind: we were not there to get plastered! I recommend skipping out on cabana rental (save that money and tip the staff). We snatched a spot under trees with shade. There were also mats you can use if you could not get lounge chairs. On the island: you could do a guided snorkeling tour, SUP, kayaking and glass bottom boat ride. When we were kayaking, the water was so clear that we could see starfish and corals. We saw so many fish and corals when we snorkeled and I do recommend following the guide- the high traffic areas for boats are areas where they relocated corals and you wouldn’t see anything if you don’t know. Highlight of the trip was the glass bottom tour. The guide explains so much about corals and what the company has done to preserve the wildlife. The boat was quite clear and it is indeed the lazy person’s guide to snorkeling. Lunch was better than I expected! Island BBQ with salad options. Not bad considering the staff hauled a generator onto the island to cook all the food. The boat ride back was very entertaining: we learnt about coconuts, and saw a live demonstration on how it was opened back in the days without tools. Lots of live music and afternoon tea. There was no pressure to tip, but seeing how hard the staff worked we made sure to leave something generous in the tip box and smaller tips to individuals that helped us. A bit disappointed to see most folks did not even tip. Reminder folks: people here make ~$2FJD per hour. A little something on your end goes such a long way for them. If you keep them comfortable, it will make future visitors have the same great experience that you had!

We traveled here to celebrate my friend’s 50th birthday — a milestone moment that was meant to be special and memorable. Unfortunately, our experience was completely overshadowed by the unprofessional conduct of Suliana R., the sales executive we were assigned to work with. From the beginning, she was dismissive, rude, and disrespectful in both tone and communication. Rather than feeling welcomed and supported during such an important celebration, we felt inconvenienced and undervalued. There was a clear lack of hospitality, accountability, and care. This was, without question, one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever encountered — especially for an event of this significance. The abusive behavior was beyond explainable. The boat was absolutely disgusting. It was not properly cleaned, surfaces were dirty, and the overall condition felt neglected and unsanitary. For an experience that is marketed as premium and special, the level of cleanliness was shocking.

I am beyond disappointed with our experience with Captain Cook Cruise. We traveled all the way from the United States for what was supposed to be a very special birthday celebration, and it turned into one of the worst travel experiences we’ve ever had. The boat that was advertised and pictured when we booked was NOT the boat that was available when we arrived. The entire reason we chose this cruise was based on the specific boat shown in the photos. What we were given was completely different and did not match what was promoted. It felt misleading and dishonest. When we voiced our concerns, Sulinana R was extremely rude and dismissive. Instead of acknowledging the issue or trying to help resolve it, she had a nasty attitude and made us feel like we were unreasonable for expecting what we paid for. There was no empathy, no professionalism, and absolutely no attempt to make things right — even after explaining this was for a birthday celebration we traveled internationally for. To make matters worse, it was made very clear to us that there would be no refund. No compromise. No accountability. Just money wasted and a ruined experience. After traveling from the US and spending significant money, this level of misrepresentation and poor customer service is unacceptable. This experience completely ruined our birthday plans and left a terrible impression. I would not recommend Captain Cook Cruise to anyone. If you are booking based on the photos shown online, be warned — what you see may not be what you get. Extremely disappointing.

Loved, loved, loved this full day excursion. The staff- and there are a lot of them, are all wonderful- happy/ there to please and all want you to have a great time. We were well taken care of. A marine biologist took us snorkeling when we got there- pointing out some interesting finds as well as the reef shark lol. The buffet lunch was very good/ lots of salad- chicken and fish including beer, wine and pops. I have nothing negative to say about this fabulous memory we created with Captain Cooks island and reef tour. Well I have one negative thing- the Captain is a grumpy person and does not like to interact with the guest. My husband ask him a few boating questions and he just didn’t respond- weird. His rudeness did not impact my day in any way. Would recommend this to all my family and friends.

Trip to small island only an hour away. Crew were awesome and there was entertainment on the way over and back. Snorkeling was great. Lots of colorful fish. It did go out into quite deep water so if you are not a confident swimmer then grab a pool noodle. It's easy to get distracted too by the underwater world so need to keep checking where the guide is so you don't drift too far away. Tried Scuba diving too for an extra cost. Very surreal experience. Dive is with a PADI instructor and when converting the Fiji dollar to AU it was a reasonable price. You can sign up on the trip over. Paddle boarding and kayaking was also included. Lunch on the island was nice and tasty.
