The Cardrona presents New Zealand's best guided quad bike tour. This two hour mountain experience takes you to the top of the mountains of the Cardrona Valley, Wanaka, navigating high country farm and alpine trails on very capable and easy to operate 450cc 4WD Yamaha quad bikes. River crossings, historical gold mining sites from the 1860s gold rush and breathtaking exclusive 360 degree panoramic views await, so be sure to bring a camera! All abilities welcome.

What To Expect
The Cardrona
Opposite the entrance to Cardrona Ski Area, the entrance is also shared with the Cardrona Distillery & Museum and the famous Cardrona Valley "Bra Fence". Look fo the sign that say "HORSE TREKS & QUAD TOURS". Come along the top driveway and you will be greeted by your guide and all our friendly animals.
Cardrona
Mount Cardrona towers to the west and the Pisa Range to the East, which is where you will go exploring by quad bike. The Cardrona river weaves along the valley floor between the two mountain ranges.

5.00It was so awesome! One of the best things I did on my trip! I would recommend a solo private tour to anyone and everyone. As outgoing as I am and as much as I like doing group tours and activities. You just got to go way faster on your own. Amazing views and a super fun ride!

5.00I had an amazing time on the Cardrona quad tour. Sophie was an incredible guide — super friendly, informative, and really clear with instructions, which made the whole experience feel safe but still exciting. Everyone working there was extremely welcoming and helpful from the moment we arrived. I originally booked the kids’ quad tour by accident, and not even two minutes later I got a call from the team letting me know the owner noticed we were two adults and asked if we’d prefer the proper two-hour adult tour instead. That level of attention was seriously appreciated. The whole place is way nicer and better maintained than I expected — beautiful setting, great gear, and just a really well-run operation. Overall an awesome experience, absolutely worth the money, and really well-priced for what you get. Highly recommend.

5.00We had such a great time quad biking! Our guide was fantastic — super friendly and full of interesting info about the area and its history. The small group made the whole experience even better because we could take our time and really enjoy the views when we stopped. The quad bikes were in great condition and we felt really safe the whole way through. Would absolutely recommend!

5.00Riding a quad (ATV) on rough mountain trails is unique. As an experienced motorcycle rider, I had a hard time adjusting to the ATV, because all my reflexes and instinctive moves didn't work. Others in the group without motorcycle background learned much more quickly. The trail was a lovely scenic ride through sheep farms facing the Cardrona Valley, and the weather cooperated nicely with lots of sunshine. It was very cold at the upper altitudes, but our guides Sasha and Hanna had warm jackets and gloves to loan to us. For the adventurous, this is a must-do in Wanaka!
