This fun, family-friendly activity is perfect for all ages and takes just an hour and a half. It's also ideal for creating memories and bringing a piece of the Caribbean back home with you as you let the artisans introduce you to the history of these beautiful signs.

1.00This is not a class, and there is no actual driftwood. First the good. Everyone in the store was exceptionally nice. That’s the only good thing. We were given two planks that had been broken in half and painted. It was not driftwood in any imagination. The ends of the “driftwood” were jagged, sharp, and full of splinters, as if someone simply used brute force to break a narrow board into pieces. The edges of the board were smooth, as boards from Home Depot would be. There were three pieces for two people to choose from, and we were told, “this is all the driftwood we have right now.” We were given five plastic cups with acrylic paint in them and some brushes, and then the very nice girl stood with us and watched us paint for over an hour. Very awkward. The only decent thing about this “class” was that they dried our planks for us and then wrapped them in paper when we came back to get them.

5.00Erica my instructore was amazing- so entertaining and very fun :) Friendly staff overall. And the workshop was a great place for inspiration - I would live to take the espadrille class next! And located in a great part of Old San Juan with lots to do.
Jiji and Ericka are the best hosts!! They made our experience definitely one to remember. Very friendly and helpful!!

5.00I had such a great time at this workshop in San Juan! The experience was fun, hands-on, and full of creative island vibes. The artisans were amazing, guiding me through shaping and painting authentic driftwood while sharing the craft’s history. I loved personalizing my piece and now have a unique souvenir to remember the trip. Highly recommend this for anyone visiting—quick, fun, and perfect for all ages😍

5.00I can’t say enough good things about this workshop, the place was wonderful, and you were surrounded by nice people and handmade materials, making you feel like a true artisan! It was so rewarding to create something so unique, and the driftwood signs make the perfect souvenir to take home. The atmosphere was relaxed and fun, and I’d absolutely do it again! ☺️
