5.00Dominic was our tour guide from the hotel to the Caroni. He was on time, personable and knowledgeable- pleasant company. It was marvelous to see the scarlet ibis and flamingos + a couple of snakes sleeping in trees! Well worth your time!

4.00Booked the sunset tour which lasted 2 ½ hours. Large boat with bench seats carry around 40 people with a guide who is very knowledgeable about the swamp and all its inhabitants. We saw blue herons, large tree snakes, cayman, flamingos and the beautiful scarlet ibis. It’s a slow paced wonderful trip, spoiled only by inconsiderate passengers and those thinking it would be a good idea to bring along a small child for a long trip where they cannot be entertained by anything other than nature. Highly recommended trip, but be aware that your fellow passengers will influence the enjoyment of your trip.

5.00Pick up and drop to Caroni sanctuary was prompt and on time. Driver was friendly and helpful checking us into the tour and secured a great tour guide for the sanctuary. Breathtaking views can be seen throughout the tour. We encountered a handful of birds while cruising but once stationed for about 20 mins we were able to enjoy seeing hundreds of birds at sunset.

4.00If you like birds like the scarlet ibis, flamingos and the like you will really appreciate this tour. You will also enjoy the natural scenery it was really breathtaking and calming especially when the sun started to set. The only thing was that the return to base was a bit too soon to enjoy the full experience of the birds returning to roost.

4.00Great wildlife, mostly birds including Flamingos but saw one snake and some catfish too. Tour gets better as you go along so bear with it. The 45 mins wait before boarding a small boat was a huge waste of time when you are on holiday which spoilt the experience a bit. A large family on the boat ignored the guidance and were shouting all the way through which wasn't great either but hopefully that's a rare event and we were just unlucky . The pick up and drop off was great and would recommend if you like wildlife

5.00Tour was good. Tour guide was OK. It is scary going through the Grove with the shallow water and fat snakes in the trees, also the crocodiles in the water. It was a site to the flamingos and the scales ibis
