Cat Ba National Park
Arrive at the National Park entrance, pay the entrance fee, and embark on an invigorating trek. Immerse yourself in the vibrant tropical forest as you encounter an array of wildlife, including agile minks, curious squirrels, playful monkeys, colorful butterflies, and perhaps even the elusive yellow-headed langur, a rare primate listed in the Red Book. Conquer three mountains known locally as "Ang Vắt," "Mây Bầu," and "Ang Phay."After completing a 2.5-hour trek covering approximately 6 kilometers, reach the Frog Pond, the largest freshwater lake nestled amidst the National Forest. From the pond's depths, towering "Va Nuoc" trees reach skyward, a species unique to the Frog Pond and found nowhere else on Cat Ba Island. Observe the diverse fish and crab species inhabiting the pond, and take a well-deserved 30-minute break. Continue your trek from Frog Pond, ascending the final mountain named "Doc Dài" to reach Viet Hai village, a tranquil ancient settlement of approximately 100 families.
Viet Hai Village
During our trekking trip through Cat Ba National Forest, we will stop at Viet Hai Village. Here we will have a foot massage at the fish stream, and have lunch at the restaurant with dishes imbued with the cultural identity of the local people. Next, we will cycle to visit the Village and move to the wharf to board the boat to visit Vinh Lan Ha. Viet Hai is a village deep in Cat Ba National Park with pristine beauty and extremely peaceful. This place will truly bring visitors interesting experiences and discoveries

Aurora helped us personalize our 2 day trip by combining 2 packages into one, we are very adventurous and wanted as much hiking and nice views as possible We really appreciated her desire for helping tourists experience cat ba the way they want. Kudos to the bureau for having this kind of flexibility.

A rather tiring crossing requiring a lot of caution not to fall among the stones and roots. For this our guide was a perfect assistance. He knew by his enthusiasm and natural joy to make this journey very pleasant.

Ghecko our tour guide was fabulous, and took great care of an older chap who needed to go slower, so 3 of us went ahead. He had good medical supplies when 2 people got scrapes. The hiking is insane, you need adequate shoes and to be fit to do this as it’s literally rock climbing through boulders in places, extremely challenging. Fish massage in the river was funny, a short bike ride around to the harbour, kayaking and swimming, just brilliant!

I have had a pleasant experience with my tour guide Canh! He told us a lot about the floating villages and we had a bike tour through the remote Viet Hai Village. After having had a fish spa there, we went back to the boat to do kayaking together. Tonight we will meet up again for some games of 8-ball pool! Love our guide :)

It’s nice experience to have Loi as a guide. We did full day tour with Aroma for cat ba national park, viet hai village and lan ha bay. Loi is very knowledgeable about the area and he knows a lot of plants when we hiked in the national park. It made the hike more interesting and not boring

Gecko our guide was amazing! The trek is difficult but Gecko and his aid were there to help. This trek, the village lunch, the cycling around the island and the boat ride to finish the day was incredible. 11/10!

Super good tour absolutely recommendable. Loi the tour guide has a lot of knowledge about nature and tells a lot (but never too much). I especially enjoyed the peace and friendliness. No rushing around.

We had a great tour with Loi. He knows a lot about the plants in the national park and the tour comes with a lunch break and a tea break. Loi was really nice and explained us everything we asked. You can see he does it with heart. Thank you Loi!

We had a great day, very complete with many activities and very well managed. Our guide Loi was great. He speaks perfect English. He told us many interesting things and showed us plants and animals that we would not have seen without him (including langurs). He explained the museum to us at the entrance to the park, then we made the excursion for about four hours in the bush. A meal in viet hai quite good and forceful. A foot massage with the fish, a bike ride, the boat back and kayaking. It was great. The only thing we did not like is that on the return the owner of the boat offered us cookies, tea and soft drinks as if it were free and when we arrived at the port he made us pay for the coke and the bottle of water (2€)
