Guests on this tour will explore the rutty hilly trails that lead through this abandoned cemetery and hear intriguing stories of the pioneers laid to rest in Aspen's first burial ground. The Ute Cemetery is a great example of early Colorado pioneer graveyard and captures a time and place removed from the present day resort.

We really enjoyed all of the of the specific stories about the individuals in the cemetery. There was variety and it was apparent a lot of time and thought had gone into the presentation and the details were fascinating.

The tour was a perfect timeslot and very interesting. The personal touches of flags, whiskey shots, and flowers among the jacks for the kids graves, it was an interesting hoot.

Dean was an excellent tour guide. We did the Ute Cemetery tour and all loved the history he provided. It was a great way to get a glimpse into the history of Aspen while enjoying the season. My kids, 7 and 9, also loved the tour! Perfect length and location .

Dean is very knowledgeable about the history of Ute Cemetery. He tells stories like he is talking about people that he has known which makes this tour honoring of those buried here. He provides details that convey much about life in Aspen in the 1880's. This is a great tour in a beautiful location. I plan to take this tour again.
